Unleash The Possibilities

Cozy's Travel Log
Day 2. I really like Dallas and hated to leave. I've got cousin dogs to visit with and Petsmarts to shop in. I met a very nice Minpin who was being proofed for a sit-stay by his owner, a Petsmart employee. Lucky dog.
Day 3. It is raining in Manassas, VA, remnants of Hurricane Frances. The airplane ride was long (3 hours) and bumpy at the end. I almost floated to the top of my Sherpa bag once. Mom kept trying to get me to "pee on pad" in the airport bathroom. ForGET it! Too many weird smells. I found a nice grassy spot at the car rental place. Ahhhh. Sweet relief. I was starving when we got to the hotel so we all dined in-room. Today, we visit some old moldy house where my dad's "people" were born back before the "Civil" War...whatever that means. Unleash The Possibilities

Day 3. Lil'Paws, we're probably related! Today we drove to Front Royal in the Shenandoah Valley where the rest of Dad's people are from. There's streets and towns and everything named for me. However, the hotels are not real dog friendly here and so Mom and I have had to stay in a not-so-posh suite. That's okay. I don't mind roughing it. Mom still sneaks me into the best restasurants.
Day 4 Come to find out, Mom and Dad go way back with Ken, not Barbie's boyfriend, the guy who built the replica of the Wright airplane and took it to Kitty Hawk. He is former Yorkie owner and now has a Maltese. Anyway, he showed us around his place, where by the way, Neil Armstrong and many other well known people have walked. So, I walked where the first man on the moon walked. Day 5? I've lost track of the time. Today we are going to an airport to watch gliders fly. Yipee. That's more like home! We are on AOL toll free, so Mom says I can't stay online very long until we get to Philadelphia. We head that direction this evening. Dictated to Kit by Cozy |

Day 5. We spent the day at a gliderport in Front Royal, VA. I met Kate, a St. Bernard mix. Mom doesn't usually let me meet big dogs, but after an hour or so, she let me visit with Kate. She was a very nice dog. Kate has epilepsy. As we were getting in our car to leave that afternoon, a man visiting saw me peeing and said he had a Yorkie, too. I get real excited when Mom says "little dog" because she almost always lets me play with little dogs. Well, I scared the Yorkie because I was wiggling so bad in Mom's hands. The Yorkie didn't have a leash or collar so we couldn't get to know each other properly. Mom put me down and I tried everything to make that Yorkie like me. I layed down and was real gentle, I ignored her. She just turned her nose up at me. I heard mom say she was a b***h.
Day 6 Another day day another gliderport. This time we are in Hilltown, PA outside of Allentown. It's been a pretty educational trip for me. I met my first baby. It was crawling on the grass, so I figured it was fair game, but Mom said I couldn't eat the baby. So, I laid down and just watched the baby. Then, I got to sniff the baby's foot. It wasn't nearly as fascinating when it wasn't moving around on the ground. But liver treats kept appearing when the baby was around, so I think I like babies. I saw another big dog, an English setter mix, but Mom wouldn't let me meet him. He and his mom were a little wacky. She let her dog be petted by 2 horrible little boys that my mom had chased away from us earlier. While those boys were poking and patting him, the poor thing's hind legs were shaking so hard, I thought he was going to collapse! His mom just kept on talking to somebody else. Day 7 (?) We are in Philadelphia. Today I'm going to see if Mom can sneak me in to see the Liberty Bell. If not, we'll drive back to Manassas, VA, spend the night and fly to Dallas Tuesday AM. Well, we flew back into Dallas. I got in a big fight with my cousin Misha, the Pomeranian. He's a little wimp and my mom had a treat in her hand and he snarled and lunged at me. So I really lit in to him. Mom had to step in between us and carry me off. She told me I didn't really stand a chance against all that hair of his. We made up later.
I was born just south of Dallas. It was a year ago that Mom and Dad brought me home. On the drive home, we called The Breeder to see if she would like to see how I turned out. She said she sure would, so we stopped by and visited for awhile. My real mom is retired now and living with a nice family. My twin sister is living in California. It is almost a 600 mile drive to my house from Dallas. When we finally got home, I thought I was starving so Mom fed me. I was so happy, I puked. It felt good to sleep in my own bed again! But I'll be traveling to Denver in October, so stay tuned! (Mom has promised to take me to visit a cute little maltese/shi tzu mix she knows in Boulder.) Dictated to Kit by Cozy P.S. In honor of the censoring, Mom bought me a B***H t shirt at the dog boutique in Dallas. Pictures will be forthcoming...maybe. |
