dogs on tv

i was just watching dukes of hazzard and thought i would post my favorite "famous" dogs. i love sheriff roscoe p. coletrane's baset hound "flash" on dukes of hazzard, she's so cute! "ladybird" the pure bred georgia bloodhound from king of the hill is another great dog, (ok, ladybird is a cartoon, but the show is great, so the dog must be too right? lol) "Duke" the bloodhound from the beverly hillbillies movie looks great too.

anyone else have a favorite famous dog?

On a side note. We have Tivo (which I love to death) and they have an option called Wishlists, which will records shows based on your keywords. Well Kendra put in "dog" as a wishlist keyword and I was surprised to see how many shows feature dogs, there was a lot. Needless to say we will be watching a lot more dog shows in the future.

Hooch is probably my favorite movie dog.
TV shows... I loved Higgins' Dobermans, Zeus and Appollo, from Magnum P.I.

oooo Id forgotten about Petey!

ok strange fact from my random fact box... Hal Roach, producer of Little Rascals (1920's-1940's) as well as many other comedies and silent films of the (orrigonal) time, was born, raised and burried in my hometown of Elmira NY

I didn't know the brady's had a dog either.

I ADORE Hooch!!!!!! I also love Milo (pug), from Milo & Otis and Eddie from Frasier was one of my favourites too. Also Frank (pug) from Men In Black always makes me smile.

I also love Alan (neapolitan mastiff) from Babe 2 and Fang (also a Neapolitan Mastiff) from the Harry potter movies.

OH and Buck from Married with Children. He was the very first Briard I'd ever seen and my absolute favourite tv dog at the time. I swear I watched that show just to see him sitting on the stairs. LOL

And what kind of a Terry Pratchett fan would I be if I didn't include the lovable but oh so stinky 'Gaspode' from TP's Discworld series. I know they're books...but he's right up top of my list of favourites.

Cass.

I love Zeus und Apollo, from Magnum...
And the three GSDs from the three K-9 movies. With James Bellushi. Did you no that he didn't like dogs before these movies and then bought some GSDs??? and i loved that Dobermann I think that was the second movie, who had a female K-9 handler, and that dog was so stunning!
And i liked Bruiser Woods in "legally blond" thought he was kinda cute, or the Rottweiler from that one Senator i belive.wich turned out to be gay.
Yeah and all known "Lassy".... looking back in my childhood memories...

Neat thread!

I loved;

Rin Tin Tin from the RTT: k9 Cop show in the 90's
All 101 Dalmations, but Patches especially
Vincent the Yellow Lab from Lost (he's kind of famous! the show is popular)
All three animals in Homeward Bound.
Toto (Wizard of Oz)
Wishbone was awesome. The one show that could make me sit down with 4 year olds.
Sandy (from the movie Annie)

I'm also a fan of Padfoot from the Harry Potter books, even though he's only a dog sometimes. I always pictured him as a Newfie and was a little weirded out in the movies when he ended up looking more like an Irish Wolfhound.
