A dogs life :( by izzie

Ive been thinking and I have had a lot of time to do it today as mum and dad went out and left me home alone with that grouchy dog Chloe

What hardships do you guys have to put up with??? here are a few of mine

Did you know I have to sleep in their bedroom on a special igloo with a pillow and a baby cot blanket on it yet that Chloe gets to sleep on the bed
Talk about favouritism
Then at 6am I start to have a scratch ( wakes them up )
So they then let me up on the bed.
I have to put up with kisses near my ears from mum you know that mushy stuff they carry on with sheeesh.

Now lets get to the important stuff FOOD FOOD
or rather lack of it.
I have to share dads breakfast. Just crummy old toast with vegimite or some wheeties with milk, heyyyy I am a dog you know.
( I eat it though as I would hate to die of malnutrition )

Then the final straw is that at dinnertime when the real food comes out I have to wait till Chloe has had her medicine and an hour has to pass then we are allowed to eat. Now come on its her problem not mine why should I have to wait

Ohhh and the nastiest thing I have to cope with in this mean house is they expect me ME precious cute sweet little me to go out in the rain R A I N I say to go toilet

Do you think any of your mums would like to adopt me I am such a sweetie and I cant cope with this rough life

OOh here comes one of the sadists I better run

Izzie

Izzie,

I'm gonna ask my mamma if she will adopt you. I think you would really like it here.

It's great here except it rains a whole bunch...sometimes almost a month straight with out a break! We do get a day here and there where it doesn't rain but for the most part from October through April.....RAIN!!!
We get snow sometimes too. Do you get snow at your house? It's super fun to play in. The only bad thing is mamma makes snow balls and throws them for us...sometimes I think it's a real ball and when it lands I can't find it to bring it back. Mamma thinks this is really funny but it's not. Snow is really cold too...when I get wet I shiver and I try to make Mom pick me up. She makes us go back in the house. I wasn't done playing...I just wanted to thaw out my paws in her coat for a minute!

We have cats in our house too. They let us chase and wrestle with them and this is super fun!!! Most of the time mamma says I have to know when they have had enough....I wondered...enough what? Well, they have sharp claws and my old cat let me have it across the nose this morning... I guess he had enough?

Mamma is great and she is a sucker for puppy dog eyes. I have that bit down pat. Just put your ears down low, make your eyes really big ( tears are a plus ) and make a slight wimpering sound. She will come and rub your ears and ask what is wrong in a heart beat. I do this when my sister, Bailey, is chewing on a bone that I want. Mom will think it was mine and Bailey stole it and she will get it for me. Hee-hee!!

OH! I forgot to tell you about Bailey! She is my big sister and Mamma is always going on about this thing called seniority. I think seniority is a bad thing unless you have it. It means that who ever has it gets to do everything first like eat their kibble, go out to play in the yard and sometimes even snuggle with Mamma. Bailey has it and I don't so I think it's a bad thing! I don't know how to get it but when I find out I'll let you know. Bailey won't tell me...she just giggles and and snuggles up to mamma. She even sticks her tongue out at me!

Mamma doesn't let us in the bed with her but she lets us sleep at the bottom. All we get is a couple of soft blankets...I mean stinky old rags...to sleep on! Mamma gets to sleep under the heated blankie and goose down comfy, nestled in warmth and feathers and all we get is rags to sleep on!!! That is really the only bad part that I can think of. I think you would like it here.

Let me know if you want to come live at my house. I'll ask Mamma for you.

Love ,
Lucy

Izzy, you can come live with me Zada, Azrael and Delsi. Oh and a fish called Ziggy. You wouldn't have to wait all by yourself before eating anymore. Me and Azrael always wait on Delsi being first in everything, but we play together to pass the time. Hey, maybe your mom could get you a little sister for you too.

Izzy, I think you got some great offers. I'd go for it if I were you. LOL.

Yes but the snow worries me a little. I have only seen it once and it was cold
Lucy sounds ok but sleeping on old rags isnt my thing
Calgals family sound ok hmmmm how cold is it there and do I have to go out in the wet weather?

OOhh and that comment about a little sister arrrrghhhhhhhhhh
I nearly had a heart attack.... that would mean more food wasted on someone else and another dog I would have to protect dad from, they seem very attracted to him and he is MINE
