Does your dog have property rules?

I was thinking earlier today as I watched the bullies playing and although I already knew it, laughed when I noticed their property rules when it comes to just about everything...especially the younger ones. I have this hanging up in my kennel as well.

Heres the list for the Bully Crew....

1. If I like it, it's mine.

2. If it's in my mouth, it's mine.

3. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.

4. If I can take it from you, it's mine.

5. If it's mine, it must never be yours.

6. If it just looks like mine, it's mine.

7. If I saw it first, it's mine.

8. If you are playing with something else and put it down, it's mine.

9. If I'm chewing something up, all of the pieces are mine.

10. If it used to be yours, get over it.

11. If it's broken, it's yours!

That would be Axa to a "T".
She gets really depressed when her toy's get broken. She lays down with them and licks them(trying to kiss it better, I think)until mommy takes them away...then of course, she pouts.

LOL! That SOO sounds like Denali.

She can become so toy possessive... she will have played with a toy and set it down and 5 minutes later Sarge will go over to try and play, and she'll run over and grab it and shove it in his face like. "I told you, this toy is MINE!"

She'll love to take a toy and just keep shoving it in Sarge and Sheiba's face.. and if they try to play with it she'll shake her head real hard. LOL She's such a brat!

Those rules apply here too! I think their favorite game is stealing toys from each other. It's a riot watching them figure out how to be sneaky about it.

I have had more laughs just watching the antics. And Chloe just positively gloats when she is successful tricking Farley out of a toy.

Sounds like Rose...lol Only since she is a fuddy duddy and won't play with toys, that is how it is with her rawhide bones. lol She loves those to death.

ROFLOL!!! That's good!

That sounds like Lyric. It's funny.....people talk about which dog in their multiple dog family is "alpha" and which is beta, gamma, all the way down to omega. Well, just to demonstrate my point about using the term "pack" loosely, when talking about our domestic dogs, my little Chihuahua, Chulita, the oldest can be quite bossy about certain things, will run Lyric out of town if he gets out of line. But... when it comes to something like that, which you described, Lyric has it all under control. No little pip squeek Chihuahua is going to beat him out of a stick, chewed up or not. He is not one bit nasty or growly...he doesn't have to be. He just moves on in and uses his paws to take what he feels entitled to...no malace at all, just..."Oh! Yippeee skippeee! It's mine!" LOL. And Chuli or Jose just let it ride. Maybe, at 2-1/2 yrs of age, Lyric has a smiggen of puppy license residule at times.

Those go for my house, too! Max tries to take from Spatz, and visa versa, yet when Elite walks in, the gig is up...they are all hers!! And it's so funny, I can take a toy away from any of them, but when Greg comes home and tries to take one from Elite, she puts her huge paw on it and looks at him like "Yeah, right. You don't live here, I do. These are mine ......go away." rflmao
