I have this nieghbor up the street that I have complained on her about in the past. They have several little dogs in the yard. The dogs get out al the time and run the streets. Well anyways today as I drove past the house I was happy to see most of the dogs in the fence. What I wasn't happy to see was the big huge bottle of car coolant sitting there in full acess of the dogs. OMG dont these people know that most dogs love that stuff and will die from drinking it.
Not only that but here lately Ive been getting into conversations about PitBulls and everyone here thinks they are all a lost cause. "PitBulls are all dangerous" is what they say. I was defending these dogs cause I believe environment has alot to do with how the dog will behave. Well last night I took my friend to someones house. They had a Pit in the yard but let the girl in the yard. The dog was sweet to her let her pet her and everything. Then when my friend came out of the house the dog tryed to attack her. I was shocked casue the dog was acting so nice to her a few minutes before. Honestly though I still feel like how the dog is raised has a bit to do with how they act. Sorry I had to get this out somewhere... |

My my, why is it the dog always suffers... Did you leave them a note, tellling them about it, or try to contact them? I know that face to face contact isn't always easy, so maybe a note on the windshield or something.
And about the pit bull... well it sounds like the dog is always kept in the yard, which he probably views as his area. You probably were very careful going in, but he felt disrespected on the way out. It's hard to say with a dog that apears to be outside most of the time and who I don't know and haven't met. I agree it is almost always environment, or rather it can play a huge roll on a dogs' final outlook when combined with genetics. |
