Dog hit by car......

My neighbors yellow lab named Shelby was hit by a car this morning

It's so sad too because Shelby's sister, a chocolate lab named Abby, and her would always run down to the field behind our house and play in the mud. Abby is going to be just devastated when she realizes that Shelby is never coming back.....

Shelby was only like 4 years old too.....she was still young....It just makes me mad that someone would actually hit her!! It was around 9:00 in the morning and there's hardly ever any traffic on our road.......I don't know.....it just makes me wonder......I HATE it when people hit animals on purpose.....Well, at least Shelby is now in a better place and maybe Lucky will start to get along with Abby so that she won't get so lonely now that she won't have Shelby with her

It's just so sad when this stuff happens....

Awe I'm so sorry that is sosad. Some one hit my dog..Mutt..too. He ws laying in the raod so I guess thats why. He wasnt really mine,,He was my neighbors but I kind of called him mbc i was so attached to him.

That is so tragic. People need to keep their animals safe and off of roads.

That is sad, but I agree the dog should have never been running lose...Such a sad outcome when it could of all been prevented

I can't imagine, I would cry my eyes out if anything ever happened to my dogs.

A friend of a friend's dog was run over by a tractor, the dog was running loose.

I was sad to see your posting. our beloved Fiona was hit this week and passed away. Our story is so much like yours she got out of the fence A neighbor was not watching. now she is trying to get money from us for her car. It is so sad. I hope everything is getting better for you.

That is so sad. Bless her. She has her wings now for sure and is in a happier safer place.

Two days ago I saw a beautiful red pitty and a white poodle on the loose and having a great time exploring, so I pulled over to get them in the car but they were not having it! They were only about one block from me, so I knew the owner would find them since our little community always watches out for others homes and animals. Well today I saw a reward sign for them and my heart sank. I wish I knew how to get the lost babies in the car when they don't want in.
