D.Schäferhund,
Don't get me wrong as I understand your situation. It's just that BBs have the ability to cause nasty injuries. Paint balls can cause injuries, but significantly less dangerous than a BB and would be a good option. Hard to say how effective it would be. 00 buck would be very effective in solving the dog problem, but would probably cause bigger neighbor problems. |

I recently had a problem with my neighbor's dogs coming over and jumping on our fence and trying to dig under it to get to my dogs. I called the neighbor several times and finally went over to her house. Well, she really cussed me out, so I went home and called Animal Control. The dogs have not been back since. I don't know why we worry about what the neighbors think if we call Animal control, they are the ones causing the problem and they sure don't care about my feelings. I have put all my neighbors on alert now, if their dogs come into my yard and bother my dogs, I'm calling Animal Control, no questions asked. I just really get tired of these idiots who do not control their dogs.

let's work

@ Steve:
Well yeah, You are right and I feel really bad shooting at an animal, i would prefere everything else, if it would work. Still trying to think about a live trap, the only thing i could try to get them in is the garage.... but really don't want them there.... I never had a use for a BB before, We bought it for the neighbour dogs, in the place we lived before, we could shoot deerrifflebullets over the strays heads and scared them of that way, but we have cattle arround us, so we don't want to do that. And I really don't want to stock up our guns with a paintball one, just for the neighbourdogs..... We wanted to buy a 22 first, but for other things then scaring off dogs.... ;-) I guess I am just to nice to call animal control. any ideas how to get the stink on them without beeing close, because i make a bet they don't let me close.... Maybe with that scarcrow thing it will work. tomorow before dogtraining i will stop by, and talk to them, if they are home, I hope they will understand.... I feel bad about going there, eventhough I know i have the right to do so. But I also know it has to come to an end. if the dogs want to run arround well fine they have a huge property, but they don't stay there, If they would I really wouldn't mind, they can run all over.... but not in my yard, if you know what I mean. and if I find a way, to scare dogs off it helps me with other dogs comming over, too. I know there are lots of Farmdogs arround that run loose, and will come by, if the next heatcicle starts, so i would be thrilled if that scarecrow thing works... just have to watch out, for me, too since i have to put in in front of our house LOL |
