hey guys :D

well went and got the tails and dew claws done today. poor jess about went ape when they took her pups. vet says they are all healthy and that jess's wait looks great. when she was rescued with her first litter after having them she was only about 12 pounds. we took her in and have gavin a happy home to her. but now she is a happy boxer with a spoiled temper. she gets what she wants when she wants. she is a very happy boxer and in a very loving home. well i am really glad that i found this comunity and am looking forward to seeing all of you in chat and sharing my funny and loving pics of the pups and jessie.

If she's a rescue please have her spayed, no more puppies!

Glad the vet visit went ok. I was curious to the background of the dog and was wondering the details before I jumped to any conclusions.

When you say rescue dog it could mean alot of things to alot of people, it could mean it was given up by it's original owner because it had problems, it could mean it was taken away from it's original owner for abuse or neglect, it could mean the original owner wanted to keep it but couldn't so it was given up, it could mean you rescued it from a pet store, it could mean someone found it and turned it in to the shelter, or it could mean you got it from a boxer rescue and it has papers and everything.

Because there are so many possibilites, it makes it hard for us to know what to feel about the dog and her puppies. Many of us work in rescues helping dogs, and when we hear a rescue is being bred, we are really upset about it because most rescues should not be bred, as no one really knows their history, true temperment, health of the line, ect.

It is one thing to rescue a pregnant dog and help it with it's puppies, it is another thing to breed a rescue.

I am not trying to be rude, but I see puppies put to sleep on a regular basis and just cringe at the thought of breeding a rescue, as do so many on this wonderful forum.

I would like to avoid jumping to conclusions so before I do, could you please give me, and others who are wondering, more info about your girl.

Thanks

You said she had her first pups after she was rescued, so why didn't someone have her spayed? Hopefully you will now. Glad she is ok.
