Dog Names
Does anyone here have a dog with an unusual name? where did the name come from? I have a rare breed which often leads to comments like "geez that is an unusual dog?" and I felt that an unusual name would suit.
I have a girl named Nammisky (pronounced NA-MISS-KEY) She was named after a thoroughbred broodmare that I used to work with. |

I had a German Shepherd named Ajax. But the unusual thing about it was that it was pronounced like the German's say it (they apparently use that name a lot) like Ah-yax. That was my hubbies idea. He got to choose the name and I got the privilege bestowed upon me to have a dog at all. LOL.
Then Chulita.....my Chi...I don't know anyone with that name. It's Mexican slang for "cute little chick" or "cute little girl" But she is also called Chuli. My last two horses were named Filinha and Brisa. I think Brisa is a pretty name. Filinha....well, hmmmm kind of too prissy, but that's what she came with. LOL. I called her Filly. Brisa's registered name was Brisa De Heredera. (spanish Arabian) And her mother's name was Brisa De Lujuria ( I think that's the spelling. Pron. Luhuria) So there's a few more to throw at you. |

My Black and Tan Coonhound's name was Beans. She got her name the day we brought her home from the breeder. We were driving home and the little angel was asleep in my arms. She passed gas that made our eyes tear up and we had to roll down the windows and gasp for fresh air. It was AWFUL!!!!!
How could something so cute and tiny let off that terrible odor? We called her Beans because she was full of them. |
