I've been a nail biter all my life. My father tried putting that horrible tasting polish on my nails when I was a kid. I just learned to like the taste of it. I think if I did have nice, feminine nails, they'd look out of place on my hands anyway. I am still outdoorsy and sporty (and tom-boyish at the tender age of 30). My hands are often cut or bruised or just plain dirty from work or play. I guess you can't have it all.

I get my nails done (acrylic) every now and then. I don't have them done often, as my nails break so easily and become sore if I have them done too many times.

But I would have them cut all the way to just the very tip of my finger, so they were real short. I typed with the nails, and forgot the fingers. LOL Cause like you, I'd end up hitting buttons I wasn't even aiming for! Try typing with the nails... you'll get used to it after a couple times. It takes me a day or so to get used to typing with them.

The worst is when I would try and open a pepsi can with the side of my finger. LOL

I love having the fake nails. I work in a factory so my nails take a real beating. I can't afford the upkeep on them, so haven't had them in awhile, but when I did get them, I'd go for the Solarnail with the sparkle tips. Nothing to show-y, but boy did they ever look nice!

I agree, having them cut a little shorter makes all the difference.

My step-mother-in-law and I have the same problem!!

I started getting them done for my hubby. He hated that I chewed my nails so bad and wanted me to have nails for the wedding.
