I Miss Gizmo!!!!!

Okay I swore that I wouldn't do this and make a thread whining about how much I missed my dog, but I do!!! The house is too darn quiet! Even my cats are wandering around trying to find him!

The vet phoned early this morning saying that everything went great and that I can pick him up tonight. *Wills 7:45pm to get here ASAP*

Well now that wasn't so bad was it?

Do you have a way to go get him? Let us know how he's doing after you get back. He will be sore for a couple of days, so just keep him as calm as possible. Smooches to the little man.

You are not a dork!! You are a loving mom who has her baby's best interest at heart.

He may be a little groggy but you never know, I remember Shadow came running up to me like I had been gone a week. The vet assistant laughed as she tried to slow him down a little.
Gizmo will be okay and you'll be able to spoil him silly when he does come home.

you could do what I do I sit at the vets door until they finally give the pup to me

One time i went to vets and saw my hubbys car already there I had a heart attack... thought something had gone wrong , turned out he was anxious about her so he was already waiting lol

When he have gone on our past couple trips we usually spend the last couple days wishing we were home already.

He'll be fine. I know what you mean by too quiet and missing them when they're gone. You're not a dork. It's pretty normal when they're not home, to worry and miss our pooches....lots of smooches.

mulroony, that's exactly why we just cannot force ourselves to go anywhere without the girls. Even when we have to go somewhere for a couple of hours or less, that we can't take them, we are worring, feeling all guilty for leaving them and I know now we could never leave them anywhere and go off for days. NOPE!

Okay, he's home. I've been having to camp out beside his crate, he won't stay STILL! Even though it hurts him to move fast (he's been wimpering) he is still insistant on investigating everything lol!

He wasn't too happy to see me at first, but then warmed up on the car ride home. Unfortunatly he threw up almost as soon as I set him on the floor, so I called back to the vet, but he seemed to think it was probrably the car ride home and the excitement of being home. He's in his kennel right now, it's the only way I can keep him from running around!

It's big enough though that he can stand up on his back paws, which he keeps trying to do if I'm not around... so I'm going to cut this off and try and keep him laying down. Man this is next to impossible!

Glad Gizmo is home and life is as it should be.
Mulroony and calgal i agree I dont go if the girls cant go as I just would miss them way to much.
Oh and carrie... the vet is always happy I am around when Chloe has an operation she wakes up and yodels like a hound of the baskerville non stop till I get her rofl ( pretty good effort for a chi dont you think) Disrupts the whole hospital, you can hear her above the big dogs
