Well today I am going over to my girlfriend's grooming salon to help out bath and dry the dogs. I usually go over every day to chat and visit her boarders ( forgot to mention she boards dogs as well ). It gives me a chance to entertain the boarders some so they aren't as lonely during their stay.
I always bring Shadow with me too, it's a great opportunity for him to play and socialize with her little guy Artie. The last 10 days or so , she has been boarding a little dachshund named Cassie...what a sweetheart, so her, Artie and Shadow are the official greeters at the door!
I'm gonna put a little brag here...I'm very proud of my boy, Shadow, he never barks at any other dog or new customers and gets along well with the whole crew...for an only dog who will be 7 soon , I thought that was pretty darn good.
Now let's just hope my back will hold out for the day

That sound like it will be fun...all those dogs, you'll be in heaven and so will Shadow. He's a good boy! I love the name Artie. That's cute. Have a great time.

I wish I could help out somewhere. I would like to volunteer more.
This period of my life doesn't allow too much volunteering. But, I will when the kids are in school. Sounds like a fun day.

Thanks guys! I had a ball...I'm covered in puppy slobber and kisses from head to toe and I love it. We had 12 dogs today mostly shitzu (sp) and cockers...funny how some days its mostly one breed , and it's not on purpose either!
Oh! yes we had a little pom...best behaved dog I've seen in a long time and just the sweetest little ball of fluff. Of course there always is one grump

.... I was sure glad I didn't have to do the take down, ugh...she got bit quite a few times but managed to get him done. Anyways, I could go on forever but I won't

. Shadow also enjoyed his stay but he completely pooped...it's tough on an older guy!
Better go make some supper now, my son is home for the weekend

(sick as a dog..no pun intended)
but I'll be back later!!
