Quick update on Elite....

Just a quick update for those of you who know that Elite is in North Carolina training for her SchH III title.....

Her tracking is good, but she doesn't want to alert on the articles.

Her obedience is perfect, along with her bitework....she is running 6 blinds.

She has taken out one of the helpers.....somehow she totally destroyed his knee

The other helper that works with her doesn't much care for her because he is so used to working with Mals and GSDs, and he was reported to say after a day of working her "What happened to the nice 60 pound dogs we used to train?"....she gets ahold of the sleeve and really works him hard....not to mention dragging him all over the field!! *sadistically laughing 'that's my girl'*

So that's the update!! For those of you involved with Schutzhund, or that know about it, you can understand/relate. For those that don't, PM me for an excellent site that explains it all in language we can understand! LOL

Funny I was just wondering how you're girl was doing and when she'd be back home. You must be awfully lonesome without her.

That is AWESOME! We are just going to be starting Axa on the sleeve when I get moved. What were her scores for ScH 1 and 2?
So happy to hear that she is doing well.

crazy_puppy, her SchH I score in 2003 was 264 (82,93,89) and for her II her score was 275 (97,90,88). Where are you moving to?

Crazy about her tearing up that helpers Knee.... sounds like she has some "punch" in her....

Shame on that other guy for not just loving her. What the heck does he want, a sissy? We can't have that for a SchHIII champ. she needs to be rough and tough!!!

Go Elite! You must be a proud mom, and yes, I'll bet you miss her like crazy! I hope you have a good Schutzhund trainer to work with locally, so you can continue her studies with her.

I'm glad she's coming home to you soon!

RBW...the closest trainer is 3+ hours away.

But I'm going to build some jumps and A-Frame here, and maybe order some blinds. We'll have to see. Problem is, no one in my family wants to put on a sleeve. But I can do the obedience by myself. And get Greg or someone to lay a track once in awhile.

Mrsgrubby....you are so right!! Why have a wimpy dog? If you are gonna do it, go all out! LOL I always say "I have extra brains stored in my bra" LOL And Elite is no exception! She is really putting it to them....that's my girl!!

Oh wow! You must be so proud of your girl. She's doing fantastically! I wish there were more sophisticated training clubs around here. I have an obedience and agility trainer, but it's lacking a little formality. I have been collecting agility equipment and am waiting for the snow to go away to start tracking with Lyric. Can't wait. The Schutzhund fascinates me, but I doubt Lyric has the temperament for it...not sure, but there's no place around that I know of, anyhow. So, I envy you that you have such a great place to take Elite. I am happy for you though and hope to hear more and see some pictures!
