What happened?

I noticed that the SCBCA changed and is also accepting pure bred dogs now. They also cracked down on the cross bred breeders - does anyone know what happened???

Just curious. Haven't heard anything about it and when I went to their site the whole thing had changed.

They are not a new registry. Well, they are....but I have been with them for about a year. I just didn't see this change coming, thats all.

I think the reason most ppl have not heard of them is because they simply do not cater to just anyone who has a dog with papers. They are also not a kennel club like the AKC/CKC/UKC, etc. They also, dont advertise (as far as I know). They are a great registry and the changes they have made are for the better, if I do say so myself. It was just a shock to me thats all.

Yes, I am glad that they made those changes.. I'd still rather see them eliminate their support of crossbreeding entirely, but it's a start.
