Wesley's Gotcha!

Wow! I can't believe that my Wesley has been home for one whole year!!!
Exactly one year ago today, my sister came home with a tiny, 11-wk old, 14 lb, adorable puppy. His original owners' dog had had puppies, and they did not want them. Wesley was the last one. Then, a forest fire struck out in Central Wisconsin(where he is from) and they managed to grab him and go. We have a vacation spot up there, and it just so happened that my dad and my sister went up that day...without knowing about the fire or anything. Well, they got there and also had to be evacuated. And, the family with Wesley and my dad and sis where both evacted to the same place...a school. So, My sister was just walking around and then she saw a little puppy with his leash tied to a picnic table and people standing nearby. She then asked if she could pet him, and they said yes, then after she spent a little while petting and talking to him, the people noticed how much she liked him, and said they were trying to get rid of him anyway, and asked if she wanted him. Well, she went and asked my dad, he said no, but she went and brought him anyway. Afterall, she could not just leave a little puppy with those people. She told my dad that we would find another home for him, and that we would not keep him because he had said no. Well, skipping back a little bit, on my bday in march, I told my family that all I wanted was a puppy. We visited a few shelters, and looked around but nothing really felt just right. So, I did not get a puppy for my bday. But, now skipping ahead again, then after my sis got Wesley, she thought that even though it was 2 months after my bday, that our family still needed a puppy. So, they brought him home exactly one year ago today, and the rest is history. Wesley has been with us for one whole year, and I can't imagine life without him!! He is such an amazing boy!

Some things are just meant to be and this is one of them. Am so glad he got such a loving home.
