around the world
hi everyone, this might be kinda odd but i'm a person who loves knowledge. i like to see and hear things from around the world. what is popular; music, laws, and lingo. anything that is fun or informational. i have a great since of humor and kind of odd one too.
i have been to a few foriegn countries, (none that i can say outright, sorry), i would love to learn more about your country and it's ways. i'm not one of those people who think that the french are snobs. just missunderstood. so can you help a guy out? i always wanted to go to austrailia, however they would not let me go for fear i would not return. japan is a beautiful country from what i remember( i was 9 ). lots of tradition and social eddicut. sorry if my spelling is bad i am excited about this thread. i have traveled through about 30 or so states and lived in about 10 of them. so feel free to ask questions, i would love to answer them. my questions: 1:england: is the weather there always so cloudy and rainy? 2:austrailia: are the aboriginies still considered second class citizens, and is the outback all desert or is there trees as well, and are koalas as cool as they look? 3:spain: are the people of spain as nice as i have heard from my uncle? 4:russia:is there anyone here from russia? 5:germany:is the autobahn a very senic drive? i would also like to hear of any family favorite recipies, human and pet alike. i will add more questions as i go. if you feel odd about my questions please don't. you can pm me if you feel that you might be embarrassed about anything, i do have an open mind. i would like to know more about places in the u.s. as well. anyone living in vermont? thank you for helping me out. |

The outback does indeed have trees and shrubs (here's a site with some pictures http://www.redcentre.com.au/photos/gallery.html ). Koala's are boring as heck. They do nothing but sleep all day and most people will never seen one in the wild in their entire life, they're very rare. ![]() Quote:

We call them prawns.Really, we don't cook anything different than you. Some meats you may not use are Kangaroo, emu & crocodile..but then again, you might (and honestly, most aussies don't eat that either). LOL Our food is pretty much the same as yours, although we heat TONNES of seafood. I'm not really fond of cheeseburgers. OH! See that's something that's different, our local hamburgers are FULL of salad. Not like those icky McDonalds things. ![]() I don't know what our major export is. Probably sheep and movie stars. lol The unemployment rate isn't good, I think it's something like 18%...but I could be a little out. The beach is really that beautiful, I don't like the beach at all and even I think it's gorgeous. LOL I'm currently a student and I live in a place called Summerland Point which is on the central coast in the state of New South Wales. A huge lake called 'Lake Macquarie' is right at the end of my street. Cass. |

![]() I've also been to Spain twice. And from what I remember, yup, the people were nice...haha. I actually really enjoyed Spain, but I guess certain areas, like any country are better/worse than others. I have to say, my favourite vacation spot EVER is MALTA. What a truly unique, beautiful and interesting country. And talk about nice people, those Maltesers are the best...HAHA. |

Hunting is awsome in the north
Probably one of the better places. It's not a hassle to get a permit or anything. You just need your hunting lisence and fire arms to have guns or amo. There are certain times of the year you are allowed to hunt for certain animals in certain areas. You can apply for a limited entry and if you get it you have a bigger time period to go hunting in a specified area for a certain animal. I don't hunt myself, I just could not shot an animal but my bf hunts. He used some kind of hunting gun... lol... I really dont' ask much about guns. Some times they take bows out hunting, but it really depends on what you go for if you can use one and how good of a shot you are.All road signs down here are in English. We are so far away from the french, it really does not influence our province to much at all. Work wise, down in the north end (away from Vancouver)we are a logging/minning City. It's what ALOT of residents are employed by. Of course we have our share of shops and what nots. We have a container port coming in which will boost the economy alot down in the north and make it boom like it was 10 years ago. It is also one of the best place to fish. It's unreal. Also home of the Kermodei (that is the correct spelling) Bear. AKA Sprit Bear. Basically a white bear. |

I'm about 550 miles southwest of Spokane.. It's like an 8 or so hour drive if I go north to Seattle (168 miles) and shoot across interstate 90.. And it doesn't snow enough here! I had to go in to the Cascades this winter just so Mazie and I could play in the snow.. :P
