We have Orioles
Mom and I love to feed the birds in the summer. We bought oranges hoping to see the beautiful Baltimore Oriole we hear chirping in the back woods. Today we happened to catch one on the stump having an orange snack. They are so pretty and bright colored. It's hard to get a photo of them cause they are so shy and illusive. I took this shot from the bedroom window with my zoom lens. Wish I could get closer, but he'd have flown away before I could get a shot.

Orioles are just beautiful!! Great picture! Share more!
We feed the birds too, selfishly, because the cats love to watch them. We haven't had any hummingbirds at their feeder yet, and the majority are sparrows, but I've seen a bluebird, some barn swallows and a house wren family already this spring! |

They are so pretty
![]() I wish I could get some bird pictures. We get a lot of Blue Jays around here, woodpeckers and some GIANT Robins...haha. I try not to "attract" birds to my place though. I had about 4 bird feeders out, but had to take them down Between the dogs and the cats, I had over 20 birds brought as "gifts" to my back door last year. I know it isn't just the cats. I caught Tysa making a flying leap to catch a bird last year. Poor birdie, she was tossing it around like it was a toy.![]() |
