what do you like about yourself??
Strange post hey???
I have been reading so much on gp lately and got to wondering how much we all have in common besides our passion for dogs. We started an art area and found out many are accomplished artists so What are some other things we may share in ourselves as a person. IE: shy, outgoing, overprotective??/ ok so I thought I might start lol As a child I was invisible and never found who I was till I married I never think I will die ( ok stop laughing ) am passionate for the underdog will stand my ground for anyone but myself strongminded very soft hearted pigheaded if someone upsets me cant stand politicians ( amazing how they can talk for hours and say absolutely nothing) Believe in the death penalty for child molesters I think I am arty.. paint, play piano and flute. oh and I am a good friend but a terrible enemy Cant wait to see how you describe the person you are ![]() |

I am very honest, painfully so sometimes. I am extermely stong willed, strong minded, very forward, sometimes I can be blunt. I don't believe in tiptoeing around something. I believe, if you can't decide on what to do, that hardest decision is usually the right decision.
I have a wicked , quick sense of humor. A bachelors degree in fine art. I too love the underdog. Oh one more thing I love MY hair. How many peple can say that! |

Oh dear, here we go...HAHA.
I was invisible as a child too. Very shy, and I was always "disappearing"....I liked to "take off"....LOL. And I can't stand politicians either!! It amazes me how they can talk and talk about useless crap, spend months putting a BSL in place, yet do nothing about the "real" problems of the world. I love to dream, but also work hard to make my dreams come true by setting realistic dreams for myself. I can't stand people with no desire to succeed, and people who go on welfare simply because they are too lazy to get a job (I know a few of those). I can be very stubborn, and maybe it's the family heratige, but I have a BAD temper...haha. The fuse is a long one, but watch out when I "snap". YIKES! My heros are my grandparents and some of my teachers throughout school. My gratitude towards them will never be gone, no matter how many occasions I have to thank them in person. I'm very outgoing, and somewhat of a "daredevil". I love to take on a challenge, even if there are risks involved. One of these days I WILL go skydiving!! I love to travel. Some of my fondest memories were getting to visit some truly incredible places. It was also the only "family" time my brother and I ever really had with my parents. As a child, apart from vacations, my grandparents raised us kids. I'm a bit of a "past" dweller. I remember A LOT. And I think it's good to remember past experiences, learn from them, and have the great memories to pull you through when you need a lift. I've also been told, I try and "take on too much". But hey, that's not a bad thing. I like to keep busy and have stuff to do. I love to relax now and then too, just not TOO often. The best relaxation for me....STORMS. I love em. I too am a GREAT friend, but enemies, look out. I have no problem putting someone "in place"....haha. Ok, that's enough for now.....tons more, but this is already long...hehe. |

Hmmm...here goes
I'm intensely loyal - if you have me as a friend I'll be at your side through anything, no matter how much it hurts. (It's gotten me into trouble sometimes - some family and friends think I'm TOO loyal, lol). I'm a passionate person, and admire and believe wholeheartedly in passion. I think it's the driving force of a meaningful life and it makes me no sadder than to see someone without it. I'm athletic and love to run - love having dogs that can do the same. I used to think my eyes were hazel, but the more I look at them, I realize they are green. That makes me happy - I like green eyes. |

First off, I'm a Libra. I must have a balance in my life.
I love old movies, (or movies depecting an era long ago). I can look at landscape scenery, movies and such and actually feel myself there. I love learning things, anything, and am a dreamer, often wishing I could go back to different periods of the past to find answers, and into the future to see what lays ahead. I wish I could live life over and over and over because I'd love to have a lot of different life styles and live in different parts of the world. Sometimes I think I have already lived quite a few, and have actually been to towns in other states and know where every store and street are, just as if I've lived there all my life, when in actuality I'd never been there before. Spain still feels more like home to me than it does here and I get so homesick to go back. On one hand I love being home, cooking, shopping, going out to lunch with friends, walking my pups, planting flowers, decorating the house and so forth, and then on the othe hand I sometimes wish I was rich so I could just get away, travel the world, meet interesting people, eat all the great cuisine in different lands, and never have to cook, wash another dish, make another bed and so forth. I feel I'm too complicated to try to figure out, so I don't dwell on it. I like having casual friends rather than a very close one. I'm honest, outgoing, outspoken and don't beat around any bush. I don't trust easily, but when I do, I don't question it. I'm not prejudice against any race, but I do take issue with any race that lives here and doesn't want to be a citizen, or speak our language, but tries to make us change things to suit them. |

Describing myself
Now this is a hard one.
I'm quiet, shy but can also in certain situations be quite outgoing! I nearly always have a smile on my face I don't think much of myself and people think a lot more of me than I do!I was born in the wrong era. Love music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. I love acting although haven't done any for many years, but would love to go back into it. This is the only time that I really come out of my shell, although I think that's because I'm a different person so don't show the real me! I'm happy with every part of me and wouldn't really want to change anything but wish that I was more outgoing. |

Here goes nothing
![]() Was extremely shy, started to over come it in may teenage years. I can be very blunt about somethings, I dont' like to argue so I do anything to avoid it. But if confronted about somethings, I give it to them straight with tongue lashes lol, then usually they no longer try and argue with me.I can sometimes be overly nice, but stand up for myself when need be, and I always stick up for the under dog. I am very soft hearted and compassionate. I hate talking politics and religion. People are going to think what they think anyways, no point arguing. I have a very open mind. I will consider anything, and look at another persons point of view. I am always smiling ![]() Love my animals and family. Very important to me. Nature is my favorite thing - it means happiness. |

well this is going to surprise people.
i am a loyal friend, i have only two, my wife and my friend bert. i don't trust or like the government. i do like people, just not very many of them. i have a really, really, really bad temper. i collect swords, knives, guns, and pets, some say this is my only redeaming quality. i smoke cigars and cigarettes, haven't missed a day of work, i'm a workaholic, and i don't like horseplay. i have a grest sense of humor and i can do some impressions. i can draw, and i used to be a drummer for a band in california 22 years ago. i have spent most of my life with a defender attitude ( according to my anger management counsler ), i will defend the underdog even if it means whooping thier a**. i like fighting the good fight. i'm part native american and the rest is the hot blooded races from around the world ( if they got a chip on there shoulder then i have that in me too.). i love my immediate family, and i am the kind of guy who would rather live 150 miles from anyone. i have been considered a survivalist. i have had over 100 different jobs to date. no i'm not trying for a record, remember i have a bad temper. i am stubborn, blunt even if it hurts, lively, and i don't like t.v., i think it makes people stupid. i don't like spiders, bad experiance when i was a kid. i have spent ten years with my sensai (teacher), and i was in the army. i can fix, replace or build almost anything there is. well i better end, it's begining to sound like i'm stuck on myself. oh yeah i like my hair as well. |

Well eagle, this may be helpful to you. People who have a very short fuse, angers very quickly and can't figure out what's wrong with themselves are most times very low on hormones. Get your level checked, it may really surprise you, and age makes no difference. One gal I know had to be put on hormone therapy at age 17, and some guys we know are taking HRT, but they don't tell anyone......it's a guy thing I guess.

Ok well I guess I will tell about myself, although they are not things I particularly like about myself.
I am very shy in person, which I guess people take as stuck up, but i am more afraid of saying something stupid, or not fitting in. I am a junior in college - I graduate in December 2007, a semester earlier than I am supposed to, so even while I hate school I am deteremined to get it done as fast as possible. Alot of people I know have said they would finish early, but end there longer than they were supposed to be. I thought I was a good friend, but then they all ditched me, so maybe I wasnt. The only friend I really have is my boyfriend of 4 years. And it makes me very sad a lot of the time. I am stubborn, and when I strongly believe in something I will say so. I end up getting into big debates over some of those things. I love my family. They are very important to me and I like to spend as much time with them as I can. I am not very confident in myself. I feel that I am not really good at anything. I feel like I don't have somethiing for myself that I am good at that I can enjoy. My favorite things about me are my blue eyes and my long hair. |

What I like about myself. Hmmm...
I learned at an early age extreme empathy. It's how I survived childhood. To say my childhood was extremely disfunctional is an understatement. What I like about myself is having survived and overcome the sortcomings of my upbringing. I learned how to fade into the woodwork as a child so now, no way do I fade into anything! LOL I love to read and learn and I can be irrationally stuborn about the things I'm passionate about. I hate child abusers and child molesters as well as bullies. I used to have trouble letting go of my anger, but it turned around and bit me in the rear (developed fibromyalgia that directly corrilates to my emotions/stress levels as well as bad weather). I try to be as honest as I can be (sometimes I don't realize things until later, then I rectify my errors) and I don't take anyone's love/ real friendship lightly. All my friends and loved-ones are special to me and have a place in my heart. In fact, there are some that I call my "daughter/son/sister/brother of my heart", because I've created my own family. I like that I've learned how to be calmer and allow my empathy to help instead of hurt me and that helps me with dealing with others. I stress about "doing the right thing" with my animals and sometimes go way overboard. Then someone will say something, or I have an ephifany or something and it falls into place and I can "see" what to do. |

My major is photography now. My first semester it was architecture, but that so wasn't for me. But I am thinking photography may not be either, I have gotten B's in both my photo classes I have had so far, and I am not a B student! And it frustrates me cuz I can't seem to make As on any of the assignments.... |
