Update on my poodle gang
I’ve been more of a lurker and less of a poster lately. *slaps self*
Thought I’d update with a few new things in our lives. We were fostering a Miniature Poodle, Tilly for quite a while. After a long discussions with my husband we decided to make her our permanent little girl. I think the last person I called to interview made me see that there was no way we could let her go. So welcome to Tilly, our newest member of the poodle gang. She does so well in the entire household. Gets along with the 2 other dogs, and loves and is loved by us all. I think she looks quite comfy here. ![]() ![]() Secondly I’m waiting for some blood work done on Boomer. He went to the vets for his yearly exam a couple weeks ago and I brought up some concerns I had with his skin and loss of hair. The vet is testing him to see if he has any Thyroid problems. I should be getting his results this week. I’m hoping it’s only an alopecia problem. Well that’s some of the news, hope everyone here is well. |

Thank you both!
Calgal, I'm impressed at how well she has adjusted here. She was given up by her previous foster home due to housebreaking issues. (she was a puppy mill breeder that live her entire time in a cage and was never taught) It took us about 2 months to finally feel comfortable enough with her knowing where she had to go. It's not difficult, she just love pleasing us and once she understands what we want from her she's more then happy to oblige. She still has fear of noise issues and fear of strangers (not as bad) and we're still working with her but coming from where she was at when we first got her this seem so trivial. She also has the fastest tail wager of the bunch. She barley wagged her tail when she first came and now she's obsessed with it. It's so funny to see her wagging it while we're in bed and Kassie gets the end of it taping her face. Kassie's tolerant of it, though that's about the extent of her toleration. LOL |

Tilly is a real beauty ! I'm so glad you decided to make her your own cause she sure looks like she loves her new home!!!
Good luck on Boomer's results...Shadow has thyroid problems but the meds are working very well and he is feeling as good as new. |

Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments.
I got the results of all of Boomer's blood work chemistry panel and Thyroid panel todgay and they were all in the normal range. Yay! The vet also suggested that it could be Cushing's though Boomer is quite young to have it. He left it up to us to see if we wanted to wait, keep and eye on him, then test him later and go ahead and test him right now. I think we're going to wait for now. He doesn't seem to be bothered health wise at the moment. |
