My friend has 6 months or less to live!

My friend, that I have mentioned here before, did not win over bone cancer. She was just told she has 6 months or less. I'm totally devastated! She said she was so happy that I gave her the book "Embraced by the Light", by Betty Eadie, because she is so ready to go, and has no fears. That at least is comforting to hear.
Her little male dog is the one I had smuggled into the hospital to see her. Couldn't take the female cause she's a real little barker.
Life is so short, so live each day in a happy positive way.

I'm so sorry that your dear friend has gotten such dreadful news and I do offer you and her my prayers in this trying time. My mother was given similar news , however, hers was 2-3 weeks...it is never easy to hear and the pain can be to much to bear at times, but I do believe we are given the strength we need to be there for the ones we love.
My heart goes out to you, Calgal. If you need to talk, we'll be here.

I'm so sorry Cal. I hope that each and every day she has left is wonderful for her, without pain and she's able to see how truly blessed she is to have those she loves around her.

She said she would call me sometime this week when she has a good day, so I can come over for a visit and do some serious talking about things. She wants me to be there when she passes too. I've never been around anyone who was dieing. I don't know if I'll hold up. Even when I talk to her over the phone, I break down regardless of how hard I try not to. I wont dwell on this thread because there are so many happy people and doggums who want to share their happy things. Life does go on.

Calgal I am so sad for you and your friend.
As for being with her when she passes, I stayed with both my grandparents ( they died within a day of each other )
Although I didnt think I could cope I managed and it actually felt like I had an inner strength to draw on I never knew I had.
I remember holding my nans hand as she took her last breath, then she was at peace.
Hugs for you and your friend.
God bless you both

I'm so sorry Has she tried fresh, homemade juice? There are lots of stories of people surviving cancer by eating nothing but fresh juice.

I'm so sorry!
I live by one of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America. I really don't know a lot about it, but I do know that they try everything they can to help their patients and they give a lot of hope to people. I don't know if there is anything that they could for your friend, but their website is: www.cancercenter.com
I'll be praying for you and for you friend

Life certainly does go on, and lots of happy and sad things are on the way for us all, but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to feel sad for your friend for the moment!

Unless reading this thread upsets you

I'm so sorry. I'm thankful that she is okay with her diagnosis and she's not afraid. I hope when it's my time I won't be afraid either. I'll be thinking of you these next few months, and I'll send all my positive energy your way.

The day they find a cure for cancer is a day that I hope comes soon. I lost my grandmother to Lung Cancer and my friend just went in for surgury to have cancerous tumours removed from her Uterus. I think I'm going to plant daffodils outside my house next year, I think that's the flower of cancer research. I think.

lots of hugs going your way!

Calgal I am so very sorry! I understand how you are feeling having gone through the same situation last year with my dear friend. All I can tell you is that your friendship with her will give you the strength you need. It won't stop your tears but she will understand that too and sharing your tears together will be another facet of your friendship and help both of you with her journey.

I will keep both of you in my thoughts & prayers.
