Presenting: Bella Con Brio's Deven of HeBeGB's
Ladies and Gentlemen, a big welcome to Deven!

She will be joining the Kirkpatrick household on Monday night.
Deven is an 11 month cane corso female. She was on track to be a show and working dog, and produce pups under HeBeGB's kennel. But, alas, the young lady does not have a corso temperament. She doesnt want to protect, she wants to snuggle. She doesnt want to be the pillar of strength and bravery, she wants to play and kiss. Therefore, she is being sent to a pet home, aka my house.

I really dont WANT 3 big dogs, but I took her because 1) She is a puppy without havent to deal with puppy poos, pees and chewing. I just dont have time right now to be a full time puppy momma. 2) Despite her age, she still comes with a health contract. 3) How often do you get to adopt an older dog with no health or temperament issues, basic obedience and with that contract! 4) I was given an offer I couldnt refuse. Based on the fact we do want another dog just in a year for now we decided that opportunity overrided timing, so we are taking her!

Now I have this poor boy of mine, who is falling apart. Rexie harrasses him all day long to play. He likes to play inside with wrestling, not charging around the yard. Rexie and Deven are going to LOVE each other! Keep each other entertained while Coops keep the couch warm.

THats the background story. Ive debated the pros and cons for a month now and between my husband and myself, we are certain this is a good decision, although I wont lie, Im still a touch nervous!

Congrats on the new pup.

We're planing on getting a new pup within the next year and the Cane Corso is on our top three list. I've been reading everything I can find on them on the net over the past two weeks.

That's great that you are doing your research... The Corso is a wonderful breed, like no other.There is a Kennel Club book out there on our breed, written by Emily Bates that wouldn't hurt to read if you can. Also make sure that you PLEASE do your research on potential breeders, as this is one breed that a reputable breeder is a must..
