Wow I feel like I've been so out of touch with what I like to refer to as my old life. I started a new job last week. I get up at 5:30 now instead of going to bed at that time. I go in at 7 am and get off at 3:30 pm. Normaly my dogs would wake me in the mornings to go potty or be fed, but now I'm waking them up and man is it difficult......the tables have turned...lol. I have eight weeks of training for this job. One down seven more to go. Well Im gonna go take a nap or do something productive I have yet to make up mu mind. Well Im off.......

That's tough when schedules get turned upside down! Even though I get up every morning for work, Farley & Chloe are both lazy bones and I have a job getting them up so they'll go out & do their business before I have to leave. I thought when my daughter got out of school years ago that was the end to me having the chore of being the alarm clock for others but that is not to be!The love weekends because they don't have to stir until 10 or 11.
![]() Good luck with the new job! ![]() |

Well congrats. career gal.
It's going to take a couple weeks to adjust to the time difference for you, and then it's just a piece of cake. I worked for 51 years before deciding to retire, so I know all about the difficulties in changes. It just isn't easy sometimes, and the older you get, the harder it is. |

A change in schedule is hard on everyone.....I don't envy you at all!!
I thought that with summer here, and school being over, I might get to sleep in a touch. Not to be.....still getting up at 630!! Good luck with the training, and hopefully you can all settle into a "normal" routine! |

Congrats on the new job Jamila!
LOL I bet your pups aren't happy about not being able to sleep in. I know Jesse gets grumpy if I wake him up too early. I'm sure you'll all settle in to the new schedule though. ![]() Cass. |

Due in December!

My schedual will be changing soon as well. I work afternoons 3-11pm, and will be switching to a dayshift 7am-3pm.
I'm thinking Gizmo will be doing okay, he's starting to get into the habit of sleeping all morning and early afternoon, which is perfect, because that's when I'll be at work. But I'll like this better. Instead of having an hour or so to play with him before I go to sleep, I'll have tons of time. For some reason, I'm going to feel less guilty. Yay for the new job though, are you liking it? ![]() |

I do like the new job so far but I know whats coming once I get out of training and its not good. I work in a call center and they have great ideals but no follow through on things. They also have major issues with one boss says this and another condradicts it so nobody truely knows the correct policy. I like order and structure in my work environment so it's gonna suck once I get out on the floor and take calls. Although like I said that part of the job I like. It's the crap management I cant stand. But it's just for the summer so I'll be cool
![]() I do however love the schedule in a sense. I feel more energetic and alive. I thought that I would have more time to spend with my fur kids but that was a lie. I didnt realize how busy I was without a job and now I have a job plus all the other chores and obligations I had before. Ugh, but it all keeps me sharp and on my toes. I love it! lol |
