I have to say it is improving, though their is still room for a bit more improvement...
Right after dinner now dishes have to be done or I stack them on their computers, and don't cook the next day (their boys, they can only cook Kraft Dinner, honest) Then after the dinner dishes are done if anyone dirtys a dish that night they have to wash it. I don't know how I am getting away with that one, but I am. Also I threatened to move out, and I was dead serious.
They said they dont' understand why I want this so clean(and I really am not an overly clean person, but I like it semi sorta tidy), so then I asked them WHAT I ever ask them to clean besides pick up after themselves and do the dishes every night because I cook. I asked them what was wrong with that? And I mentioned if they can't do those two things I was goning make a chore list and everyone could help with everything because I was not doing it all. I also told them if they just did those 2 things, what would I have to get mad at them for?????
I think they just need to grow up a bit. They don't know much about responsibility that is forsure.

Glad to hear things are starting to work out. This sure is a case for using dog training methods on people (hmmm....or perhaps we're using human training methods on dogs? ).

I have to say I detest cleaning and I resent having to do even a tiny bit of it, but I do it because I have to. I'm a messy room mate, but I don't expect others to clean up after me. LOL
The reason I'm messy? My parents never ever made me do any chores. Not one. So when I finally left home I didn't even know how to use a washing machine. I didn't know how often to vacuum and was genuinely surprised that you had to clean a bathroom on a regular basis (my mum cleaned while I was at school so I never saw her do it).
The "I have to clean" thought doesn't just 'pop' into my head. It never occurs to me to clean. I have to plan it out ahead of time so I do it. I have to assign myself chores on a regular basis. lol I know that's strange but, it works.

Lesson learned? Parents MUST make their kids do chores...no ifs, buts or maybes. It's all part of learning, and they let their kids down if they don't.

Anyhoo...lets hope your "boys" learn their lesson. BTW...if they relapse, you should go through with your threat to move out. Otherwise they'll just think "oh...she's just in a mood" next time you threaten it...plus, like others have said, you don't need to put up with it.

Cass.
