sister got robbed at gun point

I couldnt believe it when I heard. It was just a usual night for us. I was already in bed and at midnight my oldest sister, Alycia, who lives in an apartment over by shakespeare rushes in our house. I thought she probably left something but then my other sister, Krysten, gets out of bed and follows her to my mothers room so I decided to check out what was going on and when I asked my mom told me Alycia was just robbed at gun point!
Evidently what happened was her and a friend had gotten some Icees at a gas station and were headed back to the apartments(they both live at the same apartment complex) Alycia had given her key to her other neighbor so she could use her computer and told her to put it under the mat when she was done. When she got there the key wasnt there so she told Darien(the friend) that she was coming over here to get Krysten's key. He left and went into his apartment and all of a sudden Alycia was spun around, her purse was snatched from under her arm, and a gun was put to her head.
She said she just froze and then screamed and ran. Once she started screaming 'Darien they have a gun!' then guys took off. Darien came out and scooped her up and took her into his apartment to calm her down. They FINALLY got the police there(they wouldnt come!) and told them as much as they could.
Darien brought her over here since she couldnt use her car(they have her keys) She started trying to cancel everything but since she didnt have all the numbers right off the top of her head she couldnt so she is going to have to go down the the police station and sort everything out.
She stayed over here last night and is not going back to her apartment. She has to go back today because Kirara is over there and she is going to look for her purse(there was nothing in it except a debit card) most likely they dumbed it somewhere close by. She is going to move out as soon as possible and look for somewhere else.

I am just glad she didnt get hurt!

That is just awful! How frightening. I hope this doesn't have a horrilbly, long lasting effect on her, but it might tend to make a person really paranoid. Your poor sister. Give her our best and I am so glad she wasn't hurt.

Well she got a call this morning, someone had found her check book. She went to where it was found(on the other side of Montgomery!!) and found her drivers licences, jubilee tickets, and a bunch of notes that she had in her purse.

It seems all they took were her cash, debit card, and purse. They tossed everything else.

Thankfully there has been no activity on her debit card.

It sounds like she was robbed by someone who either knew her or knew a friend of hers and the time she would be at the apt. Strange. I'm glad she is ok, but it's going to take maybe some therapy to get beyond this without having to live in fear all the time.

actually she thinks they were about to rob one of her neighbors who has two little babies. They were headed that way but I guess once they saw her outside alone they decided to go after her.

She is having a hard time mentally with all this. She couldnt sleep last night and we had to go over to her apartment today to get Kirara and her stuff, she saw a black guy that had a white t-shirt on and I could tell she was very nervous (it was two black guys with white t-shirts and black pants) She is very strong and I know she can get over this but it will take time.

Thank goodness your sister is unhurt...you can always replace cash and credit cards. Poor thing, she must have been so terrified. I hope she is feeling a better today.

omg!!!! my uncle had a dude stand right in front of his car with a gun threatening them. my uncle was then a cop, but was he scared! my dad was also shot when he was younger, my moms x shot my daddy.

Wow, how scary!! She's just so lucky that no real harm was done to her, though it must have shaken her up an bit, poor girl. I can't imagine what it'd be like to be in that kind of situation. At least she has you and your family there for support.
