going hiking and camping this weekend

Yep. This weekend, a friend and I are going to be going camping somewhere in eastern Oregon, near Boardman, I think. On our way there, we're going to take the scenic highway and hike the trails at Horsetail Falls, Wahkeena Falls, Latourell Falls, Oneonta Falls, Shepperd's Dell Falls, and then finally Multnomah Falls. While we're at Horsetail Falls, we may hike up and see Pony Tail Falls... there is a path there where you can take and go behind the falls. I shall take lots of pictures

I checked with all those places, and they do allow dogs on the trails.. Mazie will be a year old () two weeks from this upcoming friday, so I figure we'd take her along and have a small celebration for her by enduring 15+ miles of trails.. She's so indefatigable though... It seems impossible to wear her down..

I'm sooo excited. I haven't been on a vacation like this in years.. This will definitely give Mazie a chance to socialize... and with 15+ miles of trails, hopefully she'll learn to not pull on the leash.. Ooh, that reminds me... I should go out and buy a new one...

We're leaving early Saturday morning and coming back Monday night sometime.. I'll post pictures when I get back.

Heading out the door in a few minutes... I asked Mazie if she wanted to go for a ride, and she jumped around, knocking everything down in her path.... So I'm assuming that's a yes... LOL
