Here we go again
My little baby kitty Tia is doing the same thing that little bit did before he died.
I just don't know if I can handle this again, but I'm fighting with her to help her servive. I've been in contact with my vet and they tell me to keep doing what I'm doing ( keeping her warm and giving her fluids every two hours ). So if you all could Please pray that she will pull through this ordeal and servive. Thank You. |

I do hope things turn around. It could be that something is really wrong....something not developed right with all of them. Well, duh.
But when I was a little kid, we had a dog who had 9 puppies and every one of them died, one by one over about a two week period. There was no explanation. It was really sad. And our female looked for them and whined and cried for a couple of weeks after they were gone. Something was inherently wrong and we didn't know what. I sure hope that isn't the case here, but be prepared. (if there is such a thing as being prepared) Sometimes things just don't go right. It is really hard. Several years back we had a cat who had 4 kitties and one of them was born with a clerft palate. He was so malformed that you could see his brain through his scull on top. He had not finished closing up as we all do late in the developement. He was all elongated...his whole body. It was on a weekend and I had to keep his tummy comfortable and fed with a dropper where I put it way back in his throat to by-pass his mouth...just until Mon when I could take him to the vet to be pts. It was really sad. The other kittens were fine. So, things don't always go right. I'm sending positive vibes your way that this kittie gets strong and makes it. My heart goes out to you while you try and fight for this little one's life. Be strong. |

Update
The vet told me today after emailing him ( Tia appears to be having small seizures and that's right after giving her about 1/2 a tablespoon ) that it appears it may be from low sugar. He's exact words are " I'm booked up solid today but if it gets any worse PLEASE GET HER IN HERE ASAP "! Give her a small drop of Kayro syrup in her KMR just for 1 feeding and see how she does if she does ok ( no seizures ) keep giving her a little drop once a day, if she does have another seizure try another drop if that don't work will try something else. But so far she's still here and eating. |
