Sleeping Habits

Before I moved into my new apartment, I always had Boone sleep in his crate at night. Then when we moved, I decided to let him sleep with me for extra comfort and "protection" . At first he started out only sleeping at the foot of the bed on the opposite side of me. I thought this was great. I even bragged about it to my friends whose dogs won't sleep without being inches from thier faces. LOL! But slowly every night he would get a little closer to me, to where finally last night, the little sneak decided my body will be his new bed. He just crawled right up on my stomach and went to sleep like he's been doing that all his life. It was so cute and heartwarming (ahhhh ) that I didn't move him for a long time. Yes, I'm making him into the little spoiled rotten tyrant he is today. But it makes me oh so happy! LOL!

Does anyone one else have funny bedtime or sleeping stories?

Colby sleeps in the bathroom (or anywhere else in the house), May sleeps in her cage, and Tippy sleeps next to my bed. They're all so adorable when they get all curled up and their lips are twitching and their legs moving as they are *dreaming*.

Cozy sleeps with me, too. But I wouldn't ever let her higher than my chest. Didn't want any "issues" about whose bed it really was. She moves around all over the place so I'm always half awake. Lately, she has taken to sleeping in her own bed for most of the night, which is fine with me!!

Bailey sleeps in our bed sometimes. She has to sleep on her little blanket at the end of the bed though. I don't want her under the sheets. A few times she has snuck under the covers and burrowed all the way down to the end of the bed. When I got up in the morning I didn't see her and assumed she was in her crate in the front room. I got up and sat on the end of the bed and almost squashed her. She scared me really bad and came bolting out of the covers. Now I look for the little lump if I don't see her.

Tiva use to sleep cuddled in my arms, then we moved her to the foot of the bed but she would always end up on my pillow When she came into heat she was put on the floor with her own bed.....She now sleeps in the living room, Taz in the porch and the other boston's in their own kennel. The way they snore I would never get any sleep

if anyone falls asleep on the couch (with your back to the back of the couc) then Shredder will sleep behind your knee and runt willsleep in the crack between your back and the couch. Once My mother in law fell alseep, those two were in their normal spots when Kino decided he wanted to be a part of the fun and he crawled up on top of Runt...he left just enough room for her head to stick out so she could breath. She never even knew he got up there till she woke up...

as for in our beds Kino doesnt sleep in the bed, he sleeps on the floor either at the foot or next to me, but always on the floor....hell jump up their if we are rough housing with each other , but he never sleeps on the bed....hes either always s t r e a c h e d way out...or flat on his back. its kinda cute.

Too funny Kjm, That was a sure bet to happen, slowly, slowly, they work there way up and finally take over the whole bed.

rocky sleeps in his kennel right now... he loves it in there.. but i want him to sleep on our bed. im going to try it out tonight.. i took away his water, and we will take him out for the last time just before we go to sleep... hopefully it will work out..

Both of my BIG babies sleep in my bed. Zermatt sleeps at the bottom of the bed with his head on my feet and Godiva sleeps right next to me! They are so cuddly! There was a lot more room in the bed when they were babies!

My little Chico loves to sleep with me. He jumps on my bed and I let him under my covers. He puts his back against me, and I cuddle him. He twitches when he dreams, and he snores as well. I don't mind having him in my bed with me. He keeps me warm.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Butters sleeps on the bed next to me, I gave her a throw pillow that is inside of a pillow sham and she lays her head on it and sleeps or she'll curl right up against my back and fall asleep. Sometimes she sleeps on her back with her back feet splayed out and her head stretched back flat with her mouth hanging open and tongue hanging out of her mouth snoring LOL. Whats funny is *I* can't sleep without her in the bed with me LOL

I'm the opposite, it annoys me if they're on top of the covers because I can't move! I'm stuffed if I want more duvet with those two on it. Luckily Hoofa always sleeps underneath. When he's not in his crate anyway.
