Smile Finally got running again

So about two weeks ago I managed to miss a stair and roll my ankle nicely. Over the next few days it reached the size of a small softball and turned about every color in the rainbow. I wasn't really able to walk the next day, but the day after that was my graduation and it felt better (until they made us stand around for an hour...). So it has gotten better and I have been walking w/ little pain for about a week, but running has been out of the picture.

Because of this, even though we have been walking and playing otherwise Shelby has not been getting the exercise she needs to keep her happy. So ofcourse accidents and acting out started happening (not that I blame her, I set the bar on the exercis ena dhten failed to meet it). Luckily it was nice last night so I decided to give it a go and besides some pain I was able to go around 2 miles, pretty much w/out stopping. So this means we will be back running every night and/or maybe mornings if I can get myself out of bed.

Just thought I would share.

What about riding a bike till your ankle heals, and putting one of those metal dog things on the bike that attaches to the dog? Also when the ankle heals, you could go on roller blades with the dog. I see some young people doing this around here.

cal - don't have a bike anymore, and I prefer running anyways (really high prey drive in shelby), and I am not as stable on rollerblades as I would hope. I am trying to teach the dogs to pull me down the street on a skate board, but that is not going so well.

Oh, I remember those skateboard days, Montana would love to pull me on the skateboard. I was surprised at how far she would take me. That must have been 10 years ago. My time flies.

Now she gets tired on her walks through the neighborhood, and stops and rests if I exerrcise her to long.
