Hello!
I am brand new and hoping someone (or many) can give me some advice on dog doors. My husband and I brough home our bundle of joy, Atticus and are shopping around for the most logical dog door for our household. We have 2 indoor cats as well - who are pretty curious- one of them enjoys making escape attempts when he can! I was looking at the infra-red doors, which seem "too good to be true".... has anyone expirenced using one of these in your household? If so- can you give me your thoughts on it? I would prefer that the "kids" (the cats) do not go outside- and am looking for the best option... Thanks so much to anyone who can contribute! ~Heather |

A pet door must lead out to a fenced areas. There are a lot of great dog doors out there, one of mine being the (of course) Infra-red doggie door.
* Infra-red technology opens for your pet only * Weather resistant and self closing magnetic flap This remote control door unlocks when your pet approaches. Programmable Infra-red technology allows access for your pet only - unlike universal magnetic key systems. Door is programmed to open for the appropriate color-coded key on your pet's collar. Manual four-way security lock includes: in only, out only, opened, or locked. Doors have "selective entry"; therefore pets do not need a key to get out if you have the door set for in/out mode. There are also pens made escpecially for cats. For outdoors. |
