Question Political Affiliation

Yes, yes...I know this might seem off-topic...but keep in mind that this particular forum is open to "General Discussion"...

What is your political affiliation? What are some of the things you do or don't agree with?

Nothing wrong with a little bit of debate...

Myself, I am an independent...completely. I don't care much for any of the politicians.

I agree

everyone should make their own decisions and not be stuck to one political party or another, just because one is right once doesn't make the next one that way.
Being independant is the only way we should be, following the norm is just fake and supporting someone just because they are in that certain party isn't right. I have this discussion often...

I agree with you, but that still does not mean we cannot have opinions or lean a certain way...

Personally, I can't stand politics. I am republican and I have always voted. But as for discussing or debating, not for me. Nope nope nope.

Frankly l HATE politics, politicians and all the political lies and scams.

Here in Australia you HAVE to vote, there is no choice, l will openly say l add a square to the ballot paper and write the name TIFFANY and give her a number one or tick, sadly though, she never has been elected, but she would rock as prime minister.

What l stand for, Helping the people, more rights for those with a disabilities, better laws to protect pets, policitians HOLIDAY budget being axed, making them the same as everyone else, you pay not the public, and putting that money back to the people, better schools and medical care and a serious investigation into tax and just WHERE all those millions/billions from it go each year.

At this point, l would line all the politicians up and shoot the pests, joking, its only a wish, but what l hate most, name me one HONEST politician...........l mean HONEST, no lies...............you cant, cause politics breeds lies.

LOL

We have an election at the end of the month, here in Canada. I'm not sure who I'm going to vote for yet, just started following the new on it. After I have hear all partys sides then I will decide.

I think thats great. Some of my friends drive me crazy, when it comes to political talks. They are the first to complain about our goverenment, but they never vote.

The worst part is, you have no choice, you are made to vote, and due to this, people feel its their RIGHT to preach down your throat, ohh shall l add, if you miss a vote, you get a **** nasty fine, yes lve had it, my bad for having to fill an emeregency shift at the last minute but you still gotta pay.

This is terrible and I hang my head when I admit this...but I have never voted!
The reason I have not voted...I would hate to make an uneducated vote....and I am too lazy to educate myself regarding politics and the issues.

i always vote if i know what the issues at hand are about. i like to be educated about our politics, state and federal. i feel that in america, we are lucky to be able to vote. i think back in history to all the women that fought and fought for the right to vote and they finally won that right. i am lucky they were there to fight for that. how awful it would be to have no say in one's government.

well, i don't know where you live, but you can always get a voter's pamphlet. maybe from the post office or some sort of public building.....look on the internet. like for me i'd look up idahohomepage.com and there i would find some stuff. anyhow, im not sure where you would go to do these things, but someone has got to be able to tell you if you're interested. but, like you said, the choice is yours to make. that is the great thing, we get to make these choices. someone else isn't making them for us.

I wish they would have had more educating in High School about voting....if they did, I dont remember it! A good idea would have been to have 'mock voting' during the election times. But do it everytime...not just the 9th grade or something.

I bet they do that now-a-days...but I dont remember having something like that.
