Puppies 1st trip to the cottage

Saturday morning we will be heading to our cottage for the weekend. This is the puppies 1st trip there. I can't wait, we are right on the ocean,with a large field around the cottage. Theres a lake and river very near,and miles of hiking trails. Its a great place for dogs.
Duke will be comming with us, so I'm hopping the puppies will just follow him in to the water. They haven't been swimming yet, so I don't know how they are going to react to the water. I had them to a beach about a month ago, and they wouldn't go near the water, but it was still very cold then. I will let you know how it goes when I get back.

Oh make sure you get LOTS of pics, the cottage sounds so nice and peaceful and relaxing, l bet the puppies will just LOVE it.

YAY! We dont have a cottage but we like to go camping! I am having troubles getting my dogs to sleep calmly through the night. Do you have any tricks?

Well, we are back, and everyone had a great time. My friend, who owns our puppies mom and dad, came with her boyfriend who owns one of the brothers. They didn't stop running all day.

So far the puppies are not water dogs. I threw a ball out(not very far) and Princess, who goes crazy for balls, went diving in as fast as her legs who carry her. You could see the look of shock on her face when she noticed she was out over her head

She came back on shore, and wouldn't go near the water the rest of the trip. Taz and Buddy(the brother) wouldn't go in at all. Oh well, we will try again on the next trip.

I think Taz over did it a bit, poor guy has been limping tonight.

We will be keeping a close eye on it.

We take Duke camping, and the first few trips we had the same problem. Come to find out he just missed his own bed. We were just giving him blankets to sleep on, he wanted his nice pet bed. We have plans on taking the puppies this summer, so I will let you know how it goes.
