Scary Things That Have Happen To You !!

Seeing that picture with the shark got me a thinking about some scary things that have happend to me while out enjoying the outdoors.. What are some scary things that have happen to you ??

Here's mine :

Finding Ticks on me after a going on a trip to some of the Florida Caves(hey I was 11yrs old so I kinda freaked lol)

Going fishing in the Glades(Everglades), got a little hot so we thought we'd wade in to cool off... moments later a gator (about a 5footer) started swimming to us !!!

Having 6 large gators climb up a bank for your fish... or YOU - which ever they could grab first...

Drove during a tornato and walking when a tropical storm hit !!

Went hunting , walked by this one spot- no poo insight, had some odd feeling walking up so we headed back to find FREASH , runny poo at that spot(we guess a big cat or dog).. Moments later a BIG flash of lightning struck(almost hit the ground) with this LOUD BANG .. It got dark, quick !! This was in the middle of October and it was 1pm with slight over cast !!! We( I was with my mom and older brother) high tailed it out of there !.

I went wadeing in the Hillsbrough River knee deep NEXT to a Gator nest !!

Boating with classmates in a boat no more then 8" off the waters serface - only 2feet away from a gator and her pups(baby gators) !!(I was on a class trip and the teachers thought it would be nice to get upclose- I was scared to death b/c the gator could of easly tiped that boat )

Went swimming when I was 7 years old off the Atlantic coast of Florida when we hear this whistle and the life guard shout "SHARK".. a 3-4' shark swam in- I was in a inflatable tube and couldn't reach the bottom !! I was scared to death but thankfully I grabed my mom and she took me to shore with her.- that is something I cannot forget !! Ever since I have never gone out farther then knee deep..

Going to the bathroom in the woods after a day of hunting when I heard the bushes right behind me crunch, loudly !! First thing I thought was "BEAR".. I pulled up my jeans and ran like the wind(I even have a bad knee).. I was horrified and couldn't talk right for a few seconds lol.

Some are pretty funny as I look back but I came remember how scared I was when they happend, even tho I laugh at the memories now.

Hmm... no gators or bears in my neck of the woods.
However, just a few weeks ago my neighbors horse got out. Now this horse has never been ridden, and he doesn't have a lot of human contact with the exeption of dinner time. I noticed he was out in the field (about 50 yards) so I decided to walk over to see if anyone was home.(Just down the road) Once I got in the yard he picked his head up from grazing on the alfalfa and charged!! He came full speed at me Head down tail up he was flying, so I jumped in the back of a small pickup that was parked in the driveway. Then came the fun part, as he walked around the truck snorting and sniffing I came to the realization that no one was home! Thank goodness my dad just lives a country mile down the road, and would be out of work soon.
He drove by and saw me in the back of this truck being held hostage by this horse. He's a farmer that grew up with horses so he wasn't afraid and grabbed the horse by the halter and walked him back into his stall. I've never been so scared! I still wonder if the horse was really attacking me or he got excited because he thought I had some food.

Hmmm.......I can think of a few. Not exactly sure if they all fit what you were looking for though. I seem to be very accident prone, indoors and outdoors, but I'll keep this somewhat short......my lifetime oopsies could go on FOREVER.

I fell out of a tree and broke my arm when I was little...haha.

Fractured my knee in 2 places playing soccer in highschool.

Went skiing one year and the power went out. So they had one of the snow flattener machines come and tow a rope for us to hold onto so we could get back to the top to ski down the other side to the resort. A little girl up front dropped her ski pole and let go of the rope trying to get it, causing the entire line to fall. My friend and I got dragged up the mountain (the guy driving the machine didn't notice what had happened). We made it to the top with some pretty severe rope burns and bruises.

When my family moved here from England, we had a terrifying flight here. It is typically about a 7-8 hour flight, and about 2 hours in (we had just gotten our meals), the plane started shaking violently. All of the staff started panicing, our dinner trays launced into the air and made a HUGE mess, the overhead luggage compartments all opened and luggage flying everywhere, people getting hand luggage crashing down on them.......and the plane went out of control.....we started to plummet. I was only 9, and so terrified I went into shock and passed out. When I woke up, I was still a wreck. Apparently we had went straight into a storm, and weren't high enough up. The pilots didn't even notice it, as they too were eating their dinner and had the plane on auto-pilot.
The strange part is, I love to fly......I'd have thought that would have damaged me for life getting on a plane again.....but glad it didn't.

Just after I got my liscense, I rolled my mothers car too...oops! Stupid teenager, speeding, and blew a tire. I hit a cement culvert head on, rolled end over end and then onto the roof (I should find those pics of the car....what a mess!). My best friend was with me, but we both managed to escape the car relatively unharmed. We did have to crawl through the upside down car and out the back window though, that was the only way out.

well my life just went to boring is nothing flat! lol

When i was about 10 or so, my mom was driving me and my cousins back to grandma's house and a guy pulled out of a business driveway right in front of us and mom t-boned him--no major injuries but I still see it in slow motion in my head, was pretty scary.

Once we were spending the night while visiting one of my dad's old friends from high school, so i was already nervous--strange house, strange people, and just as we were going to be we heard this huge 'boom', and then the adults all freaked out, the cops came,.....a drunk driver had taken the corner outfront these peoples house going WAY too fast, lost control of his car and rear-ended my parents honda civic wagon w/ such force that it flipped the car right over (end to end) and it was sitting on the roof. The funny part is it didnt even DENT the civic's bumper. His car was just low enough in the front that it slid under the bumper and just lifted the car right up.

The last real "scary" thing was at my aunt and uncles for 4th of July, we had my friends daughter w/ us and they had a pool. Rich and I were out in the front yard talking w/ a bunch of my guy cousins and hanging out and I went back into the backyard to get another drink and I walked around the corner to see Randi (little girl) falling face first into the pool. (she was about 4 yrs old). I was about 30 feet away and no one else had noticed yet. I've never run so fast in my life! i jumped in fully clothed and leaped for that end of the pool!

but i guess thats kinda it. iv'e never broken a bone, never had stitches, w/ the above mentioned exception never been in a car accident, never been confronted by wild animals (seen them a lot hiking, but never ''scary'' situations), never been robbed, (uhm, just in case i'm knocking on wood, lol).....

When I was about 7 or 8 years old I went on holidays with my sister and my friend to a coastal town. We were swimming at famous Bells Beach and we had swam right out from the shore since it was low tide. My friend all of a sudden started screaming really loudly, and told my sister and I to swim really fast! It turned out that I was swimming right next to a giant stingray, but thankfully it was dead!

When I was 9-10 years old I got attacked by a stray dog when I was walking down my street. I honestly thought I was going to die, and it's been one of the scariest moments in my life! The dog was extremely strong and had jumped up and put his paws on my shoulders, and I couldn't push him off me. The dog was about to bite me on the face and my dog, Harley, bit the dog on his legs and he jumped off me quickly. My sister and I ran back to our house as fast as we could, and the stray dog waited outside our front door for 4 hours!! That was sooo terrifying! I still have a couple of scars on my arm from where the dog dug it's nails into me.

When I was 13 years old my mum was driving my sister and I to school. We were just driving down our street (not even going 50 km/h) and as we approached the end of our street this stupid woman backed out her car SO fast and managed to hit our car! I was sitting in the back where she hit, and the car spun around 180 degrees! That really shook me up! The woman's excuse for causing an accident? She was in a rush, and we were in her way.

About two or three years ago I was horse riding and I was doing jumps, just warming up the horse. The horse I was riding was very sensitive to aids (her old owner abused her), and so first time I went up to the jump she refused because I didn't apply enough pressure, so I went around again and put more pressure on her sides this time and she completely flipped out!! She cat-lept over the jump (apparently she jumped like 2 meters in the air over it, and it was only a small cross pole!) and I got thrown right up in the air, landed back down in the saddle and the horse started galloping off! She was going crazy and I couldn't stop her! Finally, she went one way and I went the other! I landed on the ground really hard and for a second I thought I was paralyzed! It was so scary!! I managed to get up slowly (and found my crop about 20 meters away, hiding in the grass and dirt haha), composed myself and got back on to go over the jumps again, but my bum was killing me! It turned out that I had broken my tailbone, and I can tell you that is really painfull!

hmmm not as interesting as some lol
know the feeling richnessa
The scariest thing that happened to me was on a dairy farm... I walked straight on top of a black snake and live young.
Needless to say I beat the cows back to the dairy.
The only thing that scared me more was when I owned a little vw (bug) car and was driving across the causeways in tasmania during a storm and a wave flew over the top of me. To make it worse it was nightime and I was all alone

When I was four I was sitting on our back porch (this was when we still lived in town) and the neighbor's two Huskies came up and barked at me. (I was like what....four feet away from them?) It freaked me out big time. lol Hey, I was little!

A couple of years ago I woke up at night and I saw a HUGE black fuzzy spider about six inches away from my face. Needless to say, I shook all of my blankets out and didn't sleep well for the rest of the night. lol

Not really scary, but some unpleasent events for me, was when I was attacked by a Jack Russel Terrier, and when I was on the receiving end of a lock-on ferret bite three different times. And when I we were walking our dogs and they were attacked by two neighborhood Aussie Shepherds. And then when my cousins Great Pyr. tired to attacked me...that was scary. And then when we went up into the mountians and my mom wanted to take a picture of all of us kids standing right next to the edge of the road right by a sheer DROP OFF! I'm terrified of hights, so I was NOT going anywhere NEAR that drop off. lol

And then when I was little I used to have a fear of crossing bridges and of course, the blue hand in the garage! (Don't ask me about that one....I honestly have NO idea about it. Apperently, I refused to go into our garage when I was younger because there was a blue hand in it. lol *shakes head*)

LOL Oh, and when I locked myself outside the first day working at the Vets. Now THAT was funny, now that I look back. I was outside with a dog and I went to go back in and wha-lah, the door was locked. And I couldn't figure out how to get the gate for the privacy fence open, so I kenneled the dog and then I climbed the, IDK...., maybe six foot privacy fence and I had to walk all the way around the building and then in through the front door! That was so embarrassing.....ROFLMHO

Lets see...

My all time worst was the first time I did an endo on my bike. Ended up landing fast first w/ my legs almost straight above me. Besides my face the only thing that was injured was my right hand (some minor scratches). Ended up w/ a bad concussion and in a neck brace and back board for more then 3 hours. I was in them for so long my limbs started to tingle really badly. I have little recollection of the event, but I have figured out that somehow my front tire came off when going off the curve. I took lots of pictures, her is a comparison of a couple hours after it happened and a couple days later... Not for those w/ a weak stomach I was actually on my way to a review session for one of three tests I had in the next two days... Luckily most of the scar tissue is not very noticable, but it took months to heal.

I know I have others I just can't remember any right now...

well, hhhhmmmm.....

Ok, when I was about 8, we had a GSD. One day I was out in the yard, and my dad and "Mack" the dog were working on a truck. Anyway, out of nowhere Mack comes streaking across the yard. I thought he was coming for me, and started screaming for my dad. But just as I was about to turn around, I noticed a big neighborhood dog running for me. I freaked out! Mack saw the dog coming, and took off after him.....the other dog never saw Mack until he had been t-boned by him. Mack hit him so hard, he rolled the other dog, knocking the wind out of him!

Another time I went to feed my horses, I was about 15, and stepped into the feed barn when I looked down and was about 2 inches from a sleeping copperhead.

But I think the most scared I've ever been was when I was with my family at the ocean and I got caught in a rip-tide. I swim like a rock (lol) and when I got sucked into it, I thought "This is it, I'm going to drown". Luckily, my dad knew about rip-tides, and swam out and got me (I was 16).

The worst thing I ever saw was my brother, Bryan, falling through the ice while we were ice skating on a frozen river. He almost drowned and had to spend about two weeks in the hospital because he had water in his lungs. We were only 7 years old at the time. I have never been ice skating since. I was scared to death watching my Dad and big brothers crawl to him and pull him out. They had to punch another hole in the ice to get him out. My dad just held on to the hood of his snow suit while laying down on the ice. Bryan was too heavy to pull because his snow suit and layers of clothing were full of water. My Mom was screaming and screaming. I still get a sick feeling thinking about it.
