After working for months, the club I helped to create at my high school (political debate club) will be hosting a candidate forum for local and federal elections this year.

Pretty much, all the senate elections and those for the house are pretty heated this time around, so we've organzied a giant debate forum which shall be hosted by my high school on the part of political debate club tomorrow evening at 7pm.

Becuase I am the only original founder of the club left, I am to be the moderator of the debate. We have about 8 candidates confirmed to come debate, and we expect 200 to 300 people to come and watch.

Now is the time to let my public speaking skills come to light...I'll try to get you all pictures of me up there...

I'll also give you links to any press that we get...I've already been interviewed by a bunch of papers...

Good luck, but I have to say.... I had a debate for student delagate today... fun.. but then it was a chat. Good luck and I love politics so let us know how it goes! !

Hehehehe Better you than me. :P I did debate in high school, and hated it, even though I seemed to be good at it.

Good luck, Quincy! I also wanted to be brave enough to do stuff like that. I'm good at arguing my point one-on-one but not in front of a crowd.

Student Political Club brings politicians for a Friday night candidate forum

That's the headline of one of the local papers...front page. (coldnose, I know you live in the springs...if you get the Woodmen Edition you can read the story...front page...and no, that is not me in the picture.

)

Everything went pretty well...we didn't get the press we were promised...but that isn't the important part. All of the candidates showed up, had an hour long debate, and all was good.
