Going on a trip YAY!!!!

One of out dogs got a home and we are taking the dog to Chicago (SP?) IL! I am soooooooo happy for him..He is a mutt! And as I am happy we have had him for 2 years and I am going to miss him

(he is a shelter dog)! I am go to miss my

Tyson! He will be happy there!

Muttlover, I don't mean to be unkind or rude, because what you're doing is GREAT! But you really need to learn how to take the best care of any pet you take in. Dwarf hamsters should be adopted out in same sex pairs, and if you can't sex them, the new owners will end up with 2 litter of babies minimum (daddy will mate with mommy right after she gives birth, so by the time you find the first litter, there's already another on the way!). Please learn to sex them before adopting them out. It's not fair to adopt out pregnant animals to unsuspecting owners. Try this link for a photo walk-through of sexing dwarfs:

Also, dwarf hamsters make *terrible* pets for any child under the age of 10 or so. They are QUICK, and younger kids have a tendency to squeeze anything that attempts to escape their hands. They also will become nippy if handled improperly, and that's when the hamster ends up in a shelter again. Do you also educate your potential adopters on proper hamster care? No pine or cedar shavings, no wire wheels, no fluffy bedding, ect., ect.?

Again, what you're doing for these animals is great, and I much commend you for it.
