Thunder Storm
We had a thunder storm the other night, and Mufasa's Mommy took some pictures with my camera. I was going throught my pics and thought they were pretty creepy and thought I would share. I didn't edit any of these pictures. ENJOY!

Wow those are some giant clouds!
I love thunderstorms too, and I'm happy when it's dark and rainy! I have to say, it looks lovely where you live. |

Ohhh.......great pics!!! I LOVE thunderstorms too. We had one here yesterday, nothing severe really, but some great thunder...LOL. The lightenening show was pretty weak though.
It really amazes me the variety of emotions a storm can make me feel, and none of them bad... ![]() I guess I'm lucky not to live in an area that is pounded with tornadoes and storms that cause a lot of damage, because while I do love em, I'm not sure I'd feel the same if everything i've worked for in life was destroyed because one of them. |

Well I'm the monority here because I DO NOT like storms and I'm so thankful that is a VERY rare thing her in my area of CA. If I saw clouds like that last one, I'd be hiding somewhere.
I do love that area you live in though and I'd take any one of those nice big homes and all that property. Where is that anyway? |

Very stunning pictures! My dad was standing out on our porch during a pretty bad thunderstorm and he was able to get a picture of some lightning.
I like thunderstorms to a degree, but I hate them when there is damaging winds and large chances of tornados. We've had too many wind stroms around here for me to absolutly love them. lol |

I like thunderstorms as well, but this one scared me. It only lasted about an hour, but I had to go down and bring the horses in. eek! I got SOAKED literally, and I was only aout there for 5 minutes in the rain. (ONly had to bring in three, but I got two in before it started to rain). I didn't mind it in the house, but when there is lightning just about every 5 sec, I was scared to be out in it.

Very cool pictures! Like Ritz... I like thunderstorms to a degree. I don't like the damaging winds and possibility of tornadoes. *shudder*
Imagine all of that... times 10 and you get a hurricane. Tornadoes can pop up anywhere, usually isn't much thunder/lighting, but it does happen in certain areas of the storm. Over 100mph winds, lots of rain, tornadoes, flying debris... Certainly NOT fun. Only when the eye passes over. LOL |

I, too, love thunderstorms... or any other type of storm.. The last huge one we had, we had 120mph winds, thunder, lightning, heavy rain... We even had a funnel cloud touch down about 500 - 700 feet from our house and destroyed a bunch of cottonwood trees...which didn't bug me a bit; I hate those thing... Wish we would've gotten some pictures of that, but it was waaay to dark outside to do so.. We have a HUGE fir tree next to our house, and it was practically leaning up against the house.. To me, the stronger the wind and more lightning and thunder there is, the better..

Yeah, it was a NASTY storm. Unfortunately, we get alot of those. The rain just starts pouring, and the only warning you have is the clouds!! It's kinda freaky, but interesting. I like taking pictures of the weather, nature has an interesting canvas to work with.
I wish I had a camera for all the different types of weather. You should see some of the pictures that my boyfriend and I took of a REALLY bad storm rolling across his parents farm, talk about freaky!! Thanks for the compliments... BTW, we live in Southern Maryland, home of the Blue Crab. Thanks..we love our home too. |
