I made this for Azrael....

When I saw this: http://www.gwlittle.com/SearchResult...+harness+dress In the G.W. LITTLE catalog, it reminded me of my little tom-boy, Azrael and knew I wanted to see her in it. Since the price was more than I will ever pay for such a basic little thing, I decided to make it. I made a pink band around the middle though, which I like better.

How long did it take you to make it?
Thanks for sharing these pics.

I don't know how long it would really take me to make it if I didn't stop till it was done, but I've been just doing a few minutes off and on today. I'd say maybe an hour or hour and half. I put quilting material in between the camo and the inside pink material so that it will have more body. I also put a black "D" ring on it instead of the silver color. It was a fun little thing to make.

Awww, that is adorable! I like it better with the extra pink band on it too! With your talent you could easily have a cottage industry and sell doggie outfits. Azrael is the perfect little model to show off your wares.

I still look at the harness you made for Gizmo and smile You are so talanented!

I love that little harness, it's so darling! It's times like these where I slightly wish Gizmo was a girl, because there's just tons of accessories and whatnot for girl dogs. Not so much for the boy dogs of the world, but that's okay.

I just looked at them again, and goodness does she ever look cute!!!

I wouldn't want to mass produce a doggie clothing line. I make things for mine and friends fur-kids when I'm in the mood. I already bought orange and black material to make them something for Halloween and some quilted white material for Christmas. I have to get those done soon because if I don't then things will get too busy and it will end up either not getting made or just a chore to do it.

Hey Tiffany, I could make Gizmo a boy Camo if you send me measurments around the neck and around the end of rib cage, and the length from the base of the neck to the end of the rib cage down the back.

Awww! I didn't want you to think that I wanted you to make Gizmo something! But goodness... is it ever tempting!

But I don't want to weigh you down with stuff! If you have time after making your stuff for your girls and still are up for it, sure! Just let me know the price for supplies and I can reimburse you for it.

Thank you K-9, but I'm really not that good and this old machine gives me some major fits. If I took up sewing seriously and took lessons, I'd buy a Bernina. You can even get a computer disc on whatever kind of sewing you want to do and put it right in the machine. Things come out perfect.
Tiffany, just send me the measurments and when I do get the time, I'll make General Gizmo a camo vest. Don't worry about the cost. I have all the material already. No charge.

That really is amazing, it looks so professional! You really do have great talent.. wish I could make something like that. We have a new Bernina sewing machine (my sister begged for it when she did her fashion course last year, and only used it like 4 times). Maybe I should try my hand at something.

Calgal, That is sooo cute! My Mom makes my dogs little vests too. They look a little like that but with out the ruffle on the end. The vests pull apart at the D-ring in only 5 times of wearing them though. Can you recommend a way to make them stronger in that area? Bailey can pull sometimes if she is really excited and I tend to lift Harley up by the ring if she falls over while walking.
