What a scorcher!!
Try to stay cool today for all of those in the midwest!! We've got 80% humidity and climbing as the day goes on. The temps are going to be pushin' 100 today!!
UGH!!! Time for some air conditioned indoor fun till the sun goes down!![]() |

Well don't throw anything at me
but it's totally beautiful here in my area. We don't get those real hot days but maybe 3 or 4 times a year up in the low 90's and that is so rare for here. I dearly love our perfect weather. |

It's already 90 and it's only early afternoon. Tonight will be hot too. The air conditioner is almost always running and we have the temp set at 80 for inside the house. I haven't ventured outside since early morning church service and don't intend to for several more hours....
More heat for the rest of this week too. UGH. |

It's always chilly after the sun goes down, and in the early mornings here.
Best time to visit San Francisco is in Oct. That's their summer. The worst time to visit my area is May and June. The locals call it May-grey and June-gloom. Best time would be from July to November, then it's chilly and rains. |

It has been extremely warm here... Jeepers, but I am adamantly against air conditioning. Haven't used it yet this year, don't se any reason to for the rest of it! Wehkah knows this all too well I think!
The dogs have been relaxing in the relative coolness of the basement all day except for potty breaks, and although we thought about swimming again today like yesterday, it's probably nicer if I just let them rest all day. The hubby and I however decided to go for a walk. We went around our block, the route I usually take Topper for exercise. It's about 5 miles. It was quite refreshing, and actually got some sun on my legs... I don't usually wear shorts, or have a time that I can. We got a bit of rain for about 30 seconds, and it's right back to hot and hazy! They're cutting the rye in the field next to us, and the green beans in the one across the way. Whew, that has got to be warm! Keep safe and cool everyone! ETA: Oh I almost forgot. I have an incubator full of eggs that are supposed to stay at about 99.5 degrees F. Well, I have been watching it like a hawk all day, incase I have to COOL it down! Jeepers! |

I havn't had the AC on here yet this year either Julie...LOL.
Although I am debating it right now.......just sitting here I'm sweating like i've just completed the Tour De France...HAHAHA. It hit 100 here today as well (I can't even imagine how hot it actually is in the house), but it's supposed to cool off a bit in a day or two......YAY!!! I feel sorry for the dogs though, although they've been taken care of and havn't had to suffer too much. And our walks have been early morning and late night, (which has actually been really nice, I prefer that to our daytime walks.....don't run into ignorant people at all!!!......haha). |

I commend Novel and Britishbandet for no A/C but I'm a wimp! Ha ha ha! I hate sweating buckets. Although the Jeep doesn't have air so today will be interesting.... I don't plan on staying in it for very long!

I don't know of anyone who has AC in my area. We have mild temps. and even when my son from OK. comes to visit, he is always freezing.
When I go to his house I crank up that AC. I would NOT live in that kind of heat and humidity without an AC. The only time I want to break a sweat is when working out. My husbands sister lives in West St. Paul MN. and they are miserable right now, and want us to come for a visit.......I don't think so. His aunt and uncle live in WI. and want us to visit.......HAHA........maybe in the fall. I just don't like heat. It gives me the worst headaches, plus I like my clothes fresh and dry, not wet and sticking to me. ![]() |

We're supposed to have a high of 91F today. It's about 85 right now. It's nice out... perfect day for the beach. I can't imagine having temps of 100+! We have our AC on about 80 during the day. Night time we turn it down since its cooler out and the AC doesn't run as hard.
I'm a huge whimp when it comes to heat... especially at night when I sleep. I HAVE to have the air on no higher than 77 or I sweat to death and I'm up all night. Although, during the hurricane we have to sit through the storm with no windows or doors open. Just the muggy inside air! BLEGH |

Today we are having the strangest weather. Normally there is never even a tiny cloud in the sky all summer. That's just a fall and winter thing here, but today it's really cloudy, cool and feels like fall. I don't know what's going on. Every where I went today, people were talking about this strange weather. Anyone else getting unusual weather?
