I'd slam that boyfriend into the wall! If that was my boyfriend I'd kick him where it hurts and dump hiim. Thankfully i don't have a man in my life that acts like that!.

Kaede is in my avatar, he's 5 months old in the avatar picture. He's a 1 year 2 month old Akita.

Thank you Raised By Wolves.

I really appreciate the information. I will definatly try that, as well as teach others. I know when it comes to 'training people' I will more then have my work cut out for me.
I can tell Kaede is not at all a dominate dog, and not to sound like I'm boasting, but I think I am a very calm and consistent leader with them. Also Kaede submits to all animals... lol... even cats. He's just got such a gental nature about him.

talk about over-reacting.. sheesh.. did you take that advice to dump your boyfriend? just thought id interject and say that he most likely WONT turn on you as long as you dont start biting him or any of his friends.

Sabes, I'm not sure what data you're going off of, but it's extremely common for physical abuse to go from the dog to the human, and vice versa.

It's so common that the HSUS felt the need to introduce the First Strike Program, to help the victims of domestic violence.

First Strike: The Connection Between Animal Cruelty and Human Violence

The Abuse of Animals and Domestic Violence:
A National Survey of Shelters for Women Who Are Battered

The basic stats are this:

1 out of every 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lives.
85% of those victims have a pet suffering from abuse.
