I like hard floors- they're easier to keep clean. However, after this past weekend, I've decided I need to put some thought into the flooring for our next home.
I've been dogsitting an elderly golden retriever, and he can not walk across the linoleum floor without his feet sliding out from underneath him. It got to the point that he wouldn't come to the door to get his leash put on to go for walks. He can't stand in the kitchen to eat his food. Perhaps a tile with some texture, or maybe hard floors... I'm not sure what the answer is. I'd just hate to see my dogs getting old and not being able to walk through the house due to slippery floors and arthritis/whatever. |
