These stories are great!! Carrie's about Chuli playing with her food reminded me of this one time...

Missie always plays with her kibbles of food. She throws them around and bounces up to them and rolls on them... She likes throwing it towards me and then having me flick it across the room for her. One time she was playing with the cat (he's bigger than she is!), and she got a kibble out to play with. So she tossed it towards him (I don't know what she was thinking he'd do in way of play with it!), and he bends down and EATS it! Right in front of her! She's just standing there looking baffled as to where the kibble went! Then she leans over and sniffs the ground in front of him, and then checks his mouth! I was like, "Dakona! That was so mean!"- as I died laughing.

Tiny, that's hysterical. I can just see her looking at the cat and then at the floor in front of the cat saying, "hey, where'd it go? How come we can't play?" LOL. Cute story.

Oh no Darkness, now you'll have to get those child proof things on your cabinets. The little stinker!

Here's a photo of Dakona eating her food. She looks at the bowl, licks his mouth, maybe snatches a kibble in between his munchings. lol She looks like she's asking him to give it back in this photo!

A few weeks ago I was soaking in the bath to ease my shoulder and back pain. Bailey kept bringing me her ball and dropping it in the water. She wouldn't go away so I took her ball and set it across the tub. She looked at that ball for a second and came sailing into the tub to get it! I made such a mess because I sat up so quickly and splashed water everywhere. Bailey wasn't even phased, she loved it. I picked her up and put her on the rug and she tried to jump right back in the tub. I guess the water temp was just right.

I know I've menttioned this one before but I love it. When Bailey is hungry and she wants to remind us its supper time she will flip her food bowl over her head and run around crashing into walls because she can't see. It's the funniest thing we have ever seen. She does figure 8's in the living room until we grab her, hug and smooch her, and get her supper.

Those child proof locks are worse! We put those on the cupboards because my cat, Hooligan, will open the them to get the treats and knocks everything out on the floor. Now she can only open them an inch and they slam back closed. She will try to open the cupboard in the middle of the night and we wake up to hear SLAM...SLAM...SLAM....!
I yell HOOLIGAN KNOCK IT OFF!! and it will be quiet for a few minutes and then SLAM...SLAM.... it drives me nuts!

All of your dogs sound HALARIOUS !!! Something my cousins dog (Bailey, also a Dachshund) and her cat, Daphane do. At night they will play tag and they will run around the house like mad men. My cousin says that you will be lying in bed and all of a sudden you will hear this, Thump, Thump, Thump, Thump, Thump, MEOW!!! Thump, Thump, Thump, Thump, Thump, ect. it is pretty funny. I've seen them do it. lol

OMG Bailey is a riot! So she likes the water a lot I guess. Or it's that OCD for her ball and couldn't worry about a little water at a time like that. LOL. And the food bowl on the head! What a sense of humor!

That sounds terrible, slam, slam, slam....LOL.

These are some pretty funny stories.

I love the picture of your cat and Yorkie Tiny. What a pretty pair. That's pretty brazen of your little dog to steal the kitties food. LOL. Very cute.

Oh gosh. I just looked around and under my chair is Lyric sleeping. It's one of those desk chairs with a pedestal thing and 4 legs that spread out at the bottom with casters on them. They are hard plastic and only about 1-1/2 inches wide. Lyric has his head resting on one as he sleeps. How uncomfortable is that? He's so weird.

I captured Ripley doing something HORRIBLY BAD last night (at least in our household.)
I had taken Dakota outside to do his business, came back in my room and Ripley was sleeping in my basket full of clean clothes, that I hadn't put in the closet yet. All curled up, with dog hair all over my clothes. (I wear mostly black clothes, so that's not good either to have a dog that seemingly sheds all of his white hair when you're wearing black.
I got a picture, I'll re-size it and post it in a bit..

No, no, that's Missie's food! Dakona likes visiting every so often for a snack. And she just has to sit there and watch him eat it! You can see Dakona's markings are alot lighter in that photo, too (I think I've posted more recent photos of him?). When he was little they were VERY light, and now they're a dark chocolatey brown. They do make a stunning pair- if I'm allowed to be biased.

lol Rip, dontchya hate that? I get clean clothes all the time and unfold them to see cat hairs all over! Kitties LOVE clean clothes from the dryer. Missie doesn't shed to bad, but if she wriggles around alot when I'm holding her, I end up with grey all over me. I wear alot of black, too.

Boone had me dying laughing last night. I let him up on the sofa with me late last night and by this time he was getting pretty sleepy. He was kinda laying in between the arm of the sofa and a pillow and decided to sit up. When he did, he laid back against the back rest and just sat there all propped up, and I think we was even watching TV! It was so hilarious, with his sleepy little face and sitting up like a human. I got pics. Hopefully they turn out.

He flings it straight up into a vertical position with my hand way up in the air.....and he's STRONG. That is pushy behavior and I shouldn't pay any attention, but I do. I can't help it. He's just so darn cute. But since he's not too pushy in other areas and he knows I'm the "alpha bitch" (hope that's ok to say that word) he won't take me for all I'm worth. That's the plan anyhow. He almost got me when my shoulder was REALLY in bad shape. That would have sent me to the moon with pain. I had to watch it with him. But it's doing much better.
LOL Sarge will do the same thing... He's persistent about it, and if you don't pay attention to him, he'll start to lick your arm non-stop! Haha, he does it to my boyfriend and brother, and they hate it when he licks them. Poor Bub!

Sarge also does this grunt thing... he starts grunting, and I'll grunt back at him. I usually do the same 'pattern' he does, and he'll do another one back at me. Him and I do this for minutes on end.. it's too funny!

I remmeber one time I was taking a shower and all of a sudden I see this black and white head poke around the shower curtain. Bugga Boo!! She sniffs around a bit, puts her front paws in, then just hops right in, like "okay I'm gunna take a shower too!" She's so silly..

I remmber one time I was doing some tricks with Sheiba. I had a treat in my hand and told her "Paw", she gave me it.. so I asked "Other Paw". She gave me the other one. I asked "Other paw" again, and she gave me the same one... I said "No, other paw" and she kept giving me the same one for about 4 times until all of sudden, she just took her paw and SMACK! LOL Like "No!! THIS ONE DURNIT!" lol it was funny.

Sheiba also does this thing with her mouth.. it's kinda hard to describe. If she wants something, she'll sit in front of you, and a light howl, and start to sing. Well, if she gets frustrated enough, she'll whip her head to the side, and stare at you out of the corner of her eye, and right before she goes to bark, she does this like 'snap' thing with her jaw. Then "BARK!" and she has a piercing bark, although she usually doesn't do it unless she is telling you off!

OH and one more thing! Sheiba does this other thing when she gets really excited. She'll 'scoot' her feet... it's so silly. And Denali is hilarious when she starts to dig at the carpet. There's just something about it that is just so funny.

Denali also thinks she can play with Peepers (who my mom calls B---- kitty LOL cause she's always swatting at the dogs and other cats) and she'll walk up to her, stick her nose in her butt and Peepers will turn around and hiss and smack her. Denali then gets in the play bow and goes "Rooooooowwwww" LOL It sounds like a growl, but its a very very deep howl.. it's really funny. She howls like that every time we come home..

Okay, I think I wrote enough LOL Sorry!

Sarah
