Funny dogs! I can picture Sheiba turning her head like that and looking out of the corner of her eye, getting ready for the snap. LOL. A couple of my dogs do something like that too when they're being playful.

Yup, Lyric will do that nudge thing and so I turn and give him a love and then he goes away. He just sometimes wants to make sure I'm still right with him mentally....on the same page. LOL.

LOL Okay the funniest thing just happened!

This morning we had the sliding glass door open for the dogs. Their morning ritual is to run in and out like mad dogs and leaping on the couch onto my stomach. Anywho, our neighbor is having their roof done, and Sarge was out there barking his head off, so I brought the dogs in. I shut the screen door, and as soon as I walked away, Denali all of a sudden jumps off the couch and runs full speed into the screen, what a goof!

LOL Can't help it.. she turned and looked at me like "What in the world did you do that for!?" Like I purposely put the screen door up so she would run into it.. LOL

I don't have room to talk... I was at my Grandma's in NC one time and I ran smack right into the screen door too LOL

For some reason it seems all puppies love socks and unmentionables! Bailey will run around the house with my bra flapping behind her like a flag in the wind! Just wait until your pup decides to parade around the house with your knickers on his head when you have company over! It's bound to happen one of these days! LOL

Bailey also jumps up and down underneath my arm when I am on the computer. She isn't big enough to flip my arm up high but she does make it impossible to click the mouse. If I pick her up for some love she will either curl up on my lap or lay down next to my chair for a while. She just doesn't want me to forget she is there.

I love how dogs can be such clowns when they want attention. Everyones dog does something different and I think it's neat how our personalities rub off on them and make them do such crazy things.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...O-Lantern1.jpg

We carved our pumpkins last night and of course Bailey helped by tipping the bowl of seeds over and running around with chunks of pumpkin guts in her mouth all over the house. She had a great time. She wasn't scared of our jack-o-lanterns at all last night but tonight she saw them through the glass door and got scared. She barked at them and ran between my legs and started shaking. I opened the glass door and showed her the pumpkins and she just sat there growling at them. I let her sniff one of the little ones and she finally figured out that they weren't a bunch of dachshund-eating monsters and settled down. It was funny how last night she didn't think anything of them but suddenly tonight she was scared of them.

I got a picture, I'll re-size it and post it in a bit..
May loves baskets . Once I found her in an extremely tiny, round basket, all curled up! I don't even know how she fit in there!

Tippy has this little "pet me" thing that she does. She starts howling, rushes up, and burrows her head into my side, trying to lift my arm onto her head. And if I don't start scratching when my hand is on her head, she walks around so my hand slides down her back and I'm petting her . She also has a little smile. She pulls back her lips into a goofy grin. And she has a hilarious little howl: "AaaaaaaawoooowooooowooooooowooooWOOOOOOOOOOOO !"

May is actually very smart (despite most people thinking Labs are dumb). But she acts dumb because it gets her about 50 million cookies. So she'll walk into the screen door, pounce around, pretend she can't find stuff, etc. and it works--she gets the cookies without having to really do anything. And she loves to roll around. She paws at her face and wiggles around on her back with her mouth open, nibbling on my fingers or toys .

Colby really loves food. Yesterday night I was making the girls some "Turkey Burgers" (anybody wants the recipe I'd be happy to post it here) and Colby was sitting there watching me. So when I look down at her when she's begging, she puts her ears back and looks away or looks at me guiltily like, "Uh...oops. I um...wasn't begging....." And she has one trick where she sits up and puts her paws in the air, so whenever she wants a tidbit she does that . She knows say-your-prayers too, but a human has to be really involved in that one. And she knows two rollovers: lay on your back and roll over and sit on your bottom and whirl yourself around by pulling with your front paws! She decides.

Your Tippy sounds very much like my Jose....all that which you described. LOL.

I don't know why most people would think Labs are dumb. They must be uninformed. Labs are in the top 10 of intelligence ratings of all breeds, #7 on the list. I have found my Lab to be very, very smart.

Colby sounds cute....the tricks you've taught her. That's great.

I'd love to see your recipie for turkey burgers. Thanks!

Funny Doberman puppy story.

Last night before going to a Halloween thing, I was putting a lot of make up on for my "dress up." And I mean A LOT. LOL. Lyric was watching me in the mirror like a little kid who's fascinated with Mom putting on make up. He was resting his chin on the counter staring up at the mirror. He left for a few minutes and came back. By this time, my eyes were very weird...lots of black stuff and dark eye shadow and pasty looking face. He stared into the mirror again and gave a little, low growl, like, "what the heck is that????" Then he ran out of the bathroom in the hall trying to see what was behind the mirror. LOL....came back in the bathroom....I started laughing and he started laughing too.....I mean he looked embarrassed and wagged his little stubby tail full throttle. LOL. What a kick.
