Crazy Woman on another Forum
She is driving me NUTS!!!

She does not understand the big deal about breeding her two Mastiff/Rotti crosses. She is constantly trying to make light of it. I even posted on the website the BYB old excuse book (was posted on this forum under breeding by Crossfire Bulldogs I believe). She used half the excuses in the book and then she read my post and said, lol and something about a one sided opinion.... so I asked her how many sides is there to breeding? And she just said she did not want to get into it again. And I mentiond I didn't either because it was me off. Then she put, 'lol, ok'. So I just wrote back asking her why she tried to make light of something that is a huge deal....
I will probably end up asking the moderaters to close that post like the last one too............ it just makes me upset, but yet I can't stop posting.

What is wrong with this girl? Is she so severly retarded that she can't understand?? How I would like to throw her in the euthinization room of an animal shelter for a year and she what kind of opinion she would form then!!!

Sadly, its people like her that are the reason there are so many in the shelters.

Good for you for "hounding" her about it. Maybe others on that forum will understand what you are saying, even if she doesn't.

Kudos to you for trying Dogsareme, it's unfortunate that she can't look at the issue with a more open mind but there are those that refuse to see the truth and obviously their part of the reason why we still have so many unwanted dogs put to death every year.

Never stop trying, for every one person who doesn't "hear" you there are three others silently taking it all in and actually considering what you have to say. While your battle with one may be lost, one day the war itself may be won thanks to people like you who stand their ground! Each and every thread on a forum can potentially be read by millions per year..............don't let one bad apple spoil it for you. Your message still gets out there.

I don't think the mods should shoot her down. She has the right to her own opinion even if you don't agree with her.
Obviously she doesn't want to listen to any advice, she's got it in her head that her reasoning is sound. Did she get her mixes from a shelter or BYB? Ya think that would give her a clue!

Does she sell these pups? is she making a profit? then I'd include any story i could find of BYB"s being fined, sued, jailed, or otherwise.

From what I understand, she got one of her dogs from a BYB and the other from a shelter. She wants to breed because she wants a puppy, and her two dogs are PERFECT and she wants a pup just like them....... Lamest excuse on earth.

When she breeds she said she has friends who said they want her pups and if she can't find a home for them or they get returned to her she will get them PTS... WTF!!!! That is the part that gets me... why bring them into this world if that is going to be their faith.

I won't stot trying to change her mind though. Even if I wanted to stop I don't think I could... lol.

unfortunately, many shelters don't have the resources to spay and neuter pets they adopt out before they go home. they usually have a contract, but seldom seem to enforce it

here you can go to the shelter, adopt a dog for $45 and they require a $30 deposit if the dog isn't fixed to be returned to you with proof of speuter. that's it. it's way cheaper to forfeit your $30 than fix the dog.

I understand. I assumed (silly me) that because every shelter I have worked at or dealt with required a s/n before leaving the facility that they were all like that. Learn something new everyday!

the shelter where i got luce does- they're big and near the city and have a huge population of pit bulls, so i am absolutely THRILLED that they speuter everything that goes out the door. it cost me like $120 for her and she came spayed and chipped. of course then you get the people who freak out about paying ALL THAT MONEY!!! for a shelter dog. dude, it was a huge money-saver to me! it would cost twice that to spay and chip her at a regular vet.

the smaller county shelters just can't afford it and are so understaffed and poorly run that there's little hope of it happening any time soon.

It's wonderful you're trying to change her mind, dogsareme! I agree...don't ever stop trying to change their minds.

Perhaps you could explain to her that these two dogs will not produce carbon copies of themselves in the litter and if she's happy with the mixes she has right now that perhaps looking in a shelter for another dog of the same mix would be a better option and would be more likely to give her what she wants.
The pups will most likely turn out nothing like she plans. Could you maybe talk to her about why so called "pure breeds" breed true?

I did try to tell her that she could find more dogs like them in a shelter. I even did a search for her on petfinder.com and listed 3 masiff/Rotti crosses I found. She didn't reply to that message.

A few people have tried to explain to her that the puppies might not turn out the same, and might even look different. It was mentioned that they could end up with health problems because she does not know the breeding history of either dog... she's just incredibly selfish and refuses to listen to reason.
