we went to the lake again day before yesterday and there were HORRIBLE people there, using some of the most FOUL language and the kids oh WOW their favorite word was the f word and i'm talkin bout kids 8 yrs old, THEN another couple came down there and were practially having sex in the water, and my son was playing tornado and said mom mom look at the tornado and they started making fun of him my son is 6 give me a break what adult makes fun of a child? makes me wonder why i even go.....i hate it i'm not telling people how to live but can't we show some respect

They sound like people I wouldn't want as a neighbor. Maybe they won't go back to your lake.
And what's wrong with playing tornado? I wish I still did things like that LOL At my age, I'd really get some comments.

That is a shame. These people disrespect themselves (making out in public) and others. They must have had horrible childhoods to act like that as adults. It is saddening and maddening.

The thing that came to my mind, was spinning around in circles until you either throw up or you fall down! lol I loved to do that when I was younger.

And ya, people like that drive me nuts. I mean, I swear when I get extreamly ticked (I have bad influences), but when people swear all of the time and have to say f**k every five seconds, that gets on my nerves.
Now like, someone who I work with is going through a really hard time right now and she came into work and every other word was the F-word, but she was stressing and she wasn't feeling good. She's trying to support her baby who she never gets to see because she's trying to support him, she isn't getting paid enough, she is sick right now, she's having trouble with bills, and her wedding was supposed to be last week, but her fiance` ditched her for a 17yr old.
And I agree, they do disrespect themselves. Just goes to show you what the world is coming to. We have kids swearing and chopping up kittens with a weed-whacker. Its kinda scary knowing that these people will one day be adults and be driving, voting, and working with us. *shakes head*

Oh... no one better ever make fun of my children. I *will* say something. I wouldn't have any tongue left if I had to bite it anymore after 9 years in the Navy, lol!

I don't understand people who act like that. It's as if they were so self-centered and conceited that they don't think about anyone other than themselves. And of course they are perpetuating their behaviour on to another generation.

Once, my boyfriend (at the time ) and I were playing pool at the local pub. There was a guy there who was heavy into the "F-ing" talk. So, we decided to keep score. He got a score of 74 in the use of = F, F-U, F-ing, F-er, etc...within 10 minutes.

We were laughing so hard he finally came over and asked what was sooo funny. So, he got to keep the matchbook cover we were keeping score on.

Not so funny when this happens around children.

How awful! I hate disrespectful people too. If anything like that happens again, speak up...they deserve to be told off.
I don't know how people can swear in front of their kids. I use to live across the street from a woman who told off her little boys with curse word after curse word. I felt so bad for those kids and was no surprised when those little boys in turn swore and screamed at everyone else.
There's no excuse for that...it's just bad parenting.

Well to me personal i can overhear soem of the f-words, i am Army related and i hear worse...
but even there , when kids are arround, heck they watch their language...
These people are awfull! and instead of laughing at your kid they should have aplauded him!!!
There are wierd people out there, when I went to the ER today i was in the waitingroom with a mom and her two kids, the girl was ok, but the kid was a brat, pardon my language. but i can't find a nicer word, for it! And the mom just let him run all over, he knew either she would not spank him in public or he always get's his way. well when his dad was arround he atleast could sit in one spot, whining about it, but atleast he stayed.
That is how it starts, i really think these people on the beach need an attitude adjustment...

I work in a school with young kids I can't stand it when kids come to school and talk like that. I don't let them get away with it, even if the parents are with them. I'm not afraid to speak up. My cousin came over with her little girl who was 8 she said the f word. I told her she is welcome to come to my house anytime. But if she swears I don't want her over again. I explained to her how bad it sounds. I was surprised she really did listen to me. She still comes over and loves too . I just don't think parents talk to their kids about the reason they shouldn't talk like that. Some people are just jerks to make fun of a six year old. I just hope you don't have any more problems when you go to the lake again.

What is wrong with some people . I can't believe some ADULTS made fun or your 6 year old child. If I was their and your child did a tornado and said what he said, I probably would of found it really cute and of laughed, never would I make fun of a child.

As for young children swearing I would of said something. I get mad at my friends if they swear, expecially if they do it around children. Some people just don't get it. Using swear words now days don't even have the same inpact as they did when they were rarely used. They are very over used now they pretty much mean that same as "oops".

i know it's gotten way out of hand.....at the dentist yesterday there was a pretten boy using the word f@@@@t lover, i was going to say something to his mom when she came out of the office until i heard her mouth and realized the boy probably didn't know any better, i'm not saying i don't use words like that once in awhile but NEVER around anyones children and i certainly wouldn't make out in public with my hubby i just don't get why people don't get the impact this has on kids no wonder kids are doing things that were never heard of in the past sheesh
