You could try looking around your house for some orange or red ribbon.

You're welcome Good luck

when I was like 2 or three my parents bought this HUGE pumpkin...I dont know how much it weighed but it stood easily 3- 3.5 feet tall and was just as round. When they emptied it out they stuck me in it...

I love halloween. We bought 8 pumpkins this year, one got eaten by the sqirels or something, but I think 7 is plenty. Not much other decorations here though. My parents have three spiders, and a bunch of other stuff out.

I took Boone to the Halloween parade Saturday. He LOVED it. Got to see and sniff so many other doggies. Even two big HUGE rotties. They were so friendly and beautiful.

Carrie - There was the most gorgeous Dobie in the parade with his human marching for Humans Against Animal Cruelty. He was so regal and tall. Stood out in the crowd for sure. Boone and I thought about your Lyric. Figured he'd look just like that.

We also saw several dachsunds along the way. Boone loves those little guys. One was even spotted. I've never seen that before.

Sounds like a lot of fun Kjm. I'm glad you got to see such a beautiful Doberman. They really are strikingly beautiful aren't they.

Boone is really quite the little socialite isn't he. LOL. Sounds like he had as much fun as you did.

We took Bailey for a walk so we could see all the kiddies in their costumes. A family was walking down the street towards us with a teeny-tiny yorkie dressed up in an itsy-bitsy tuxedo. The yorkie couldn't have weighed more than 3-4 pounds. At first I thought the dog was so cute. The little dog was off leash and ran up to Bailey and started barking and jumping all over her. Bailey didn't know what to do and tried to get me to pick her up. The yorkie got down right vicious and bit Bailey on the ear and front paw and she started screaming her head off. He drew blood on her ear! All the owners said was their dog doesn't like other boy dogs. I yelled at him that she is a girl and to keep his dog on a leash if it is aggressive to other dogs! Geeze! My husband was a lot more colorful with his words to the guy. Bailey made me hold her all the way home. She has a big scratch all the way down her ear that was bleeding pretty good. Bailey didn't even bite or growl at that dog even though she was 3 times it's size. She didn't even try to fight back.

That's horrible! I hope Bailey is okay!

I hate it when the people KNOW their dog isn't friendly with certain dogs, or just not friendly at all, but yet the owners allow them to be offleash. That happened to me about 3 times with the same dog. Was walking Sheiba and Denali, and she had her dog off leash. The dog came running over to Sheiba and Denali with his teeth showing and hair raised. He backed off when Denali and Sheiba started barking. Then there was a time when he tried to come after Sarge..ran over and was growling at Sarge and got underneath him, Sarge barked with a loud growl and the dog backed away. He's lucky, because it would not have been a pretty battle. And then again, with Sheiba and Denali, and this dog finally attacked them, and Sheiba was on his back, and Denali had ahold of his neck, and slammed him to the ground. The dog started screaming when Denali and Sheiba touched him.. he tried to walk away slowly, and once he stoped growling and everything, Sheiba and Denali quit. His owner ran over to me and says "Are you okay?" I was like "I'm fine, you might wanna check your dogs neck because she got ahold of him there". Thankfully she hasn't had her dog offleash since. I didn't try to break up the fight, because A) She needs to have her dog on a leash, when she KNOWS the dog is aggressive and B) I know Sheiba and Denali would not seriously hurt the dog unless the dog was ripping into them. He basically thought he could take them on, but found out different afterwards and changed his mind. Needless to say, now Sheiba is even more hesitant around other dogs, and will growl sometimes when approaching a strange dog. I just tell her oh bequiet, and let the owners know that she just thinks shes boss, and she won't hurt their dog.

I don't know what kind of dog it is.. seems to be a hound mix.. and I can tell by the way he barks. He seems to be a Curr Dog, or something along those lines...

I hate careless owners....

Poor Bailey!! Yeah, those people definitely deserved a good cussing! Some dog behaviors are just not excusable! There were some non-friendly dogs at the parade this weekend too but thankfully, thier owners were smart enough to leash them and/or hold them tight. Although, I wondered why those people even bother to bring their dogs out if they are so other dog aggressive.

Darn, I wish she had gotten one little bite, grr! Even just a little scratch! That dog deserves some blood pouring....along with his owners!!!!!!

Tippy is a little agressive towards other dogs but she's getting A LOT better. The thing is her and May sort of compete over me....so I've been working on that and they can be together under supervision now. I'm also working on showing them that I love them both equally!

I saw a little Pom dressed up in a costume...very cute .

That's disgusting! I let my girls off-leash occasionally on walks (but only if I'm just going up the block, and usually in the evening when no other dogs are out), but I know that they wouldn't do a thing. They just love playing with other dogs (Tippy does better with other animals in neutral territory, of course...). But if I knew that they'd do ANYTHING to another animal, I'd have them on-leash with a nice strong collar and leash. Makes you wish that everyone knew a lot about dogs, doesn't it?
