Get a big container of ice, place it in front of a fan on the floor and watch where the dog sits.

(like the plastic ones that are kind of square that's used for storage) They also love to drink the cold water as the ice melts.

I put wet bandanas around my kids necks in the summer.
I also make my own frozen dog treats. I use natural peanut butter, plain all natural yogurt, and a taste of honey sometime i throw in a banana. I mix it all up then spoon it into ice trays, freeze and serve.
I sometimes put ice in with the water in the water dish.
