Schools started back up... - Page 2

I am SO glad I have finished school (a bit more than 1 1/2 years ago.. wow the time's gone so fast!). I hated the school environment, teachers and a lot of the students. They were all just annoying. I was one of those introverted people, too.

When I was in years 11 and 12 I took:
Economics
Geography
Business Studies
Earth & Environmental Science
Religion (had to)
English
General Maths (I hate maths!)

I always thought school looked really cool in the US, and the subjects sound much more interesting than what was offered at my school!

Oh, and for some STUPID reason only 2 people in a class were allowed to receive an A on their report card (and something like 10 people could receive B's). Such a stupid system.

I've decided that I really do NOT like English. lol The English Teacher's teaching style is super weird and she makes everything boring, not to mention unfair. So I think I'm going to be doing a lot of extra credit in her class!

Wow.. That is weird. I've never heard of that before.

I don't like my english class either, Ritz. LOL She's a new teacher, so she thinks she has to be strict. Her teaching is also extremely different from all of the other teachers I've had.

Don't you hate boring teachers??? That's when I don't pay attention in class and I'm not willing to learn.

I think it definitely helps having the right teacher. It makes SUCH a difference!

Yeah, our school system was weird and unfair.

Ah im sooo glad i finished school last year, am at college now and its so much better and love my main subject with is art and design - but can you belive my homework over the summer is to do 50 paintings in our sketchbook, yes 50 !- if we dont we will get thrown off the course, and its happend to a girl already who didnt do the homework over the xmas hols. I broke up 3rd July and start back on the 11th of september and so far ive only done 10 of those paintings

so, yea 10 down 40 to go

Someone mentioned English - bahh humbug english! argh! took it last year and BIG MISTAKE - hated it, and my results proved my lack of enthusiasm for it - i got a 'U', which basicaly means Unsatisfactory.

Ha, and not only do you get stuck with evil teachers, lots of homework, and general "schooliness", you get sick too!

I missed the last two days of school do to a feaver (I woke up thursday morning and my knows was stuffy, my throat was raw and it felt like someone was squeezing it as hard as they could, my stomach was queasy because of drainage, and if I didn't swallow every couple of seconds I couldn't breathe).
Silly me, I went to school anyway....I made it through first period (which was study hall, so I just slept) and then second period I called home and said, "Mom, come get me, I'm going to be sick..." and what do you know, as soon as we got home a lost my cookies.
But the main reason for that was because Sadie was sitting on my lap in the car and the mail man was in our driveway, so she tried to jump out of the window to go see him...having a 65lb dog push off of your stomach sure gets your juices flowing!
All day I was misrable, and then that evening I had a super high feaver so I didn't go to school on Friday even though I was feeling better...now I feel like I have a really bad head cold. My throat doesn't hurt so bad (just scratchy) but my nose is about ready to drive me nuts and I still have no appitite. Ah well.
I called in sick to work this morning becuase I have no energy and I didn't think I was up to bathing dogs all morning, not to mention I didn't want to get everybody else sick, but I'm going in this evening to work in the kennels. Number one I felt bad that I couldn't make it in this morning, number two they need my help, and number three after sleeping in till 10:00 I feel much better.

Gotta love school....

I hate that! Thankfully *knock on wood* I haven't gotten sick yet. I almost ALWAYS get sick when school starts. Usually it's the really bad stuff too. UGhh...

Sorry that you have been sick! That sounds really crummy! Actually, that's pretty much what I get when I go back to school. I've stopped drinking from the water fountains because EVERY time I have drank from them. I got sick... no joke. So I steer clear of those.
