If you have a female in season, be sure to keep her indoors, or atleast supervise her, or keep her on a lead while outside! Male dogs can smell a female in season from miles away, and will do almost anything to get to her, even if it means getting hurt a bit or having to jump/dig under a fence! - IceyBlueSibes

Choose a vet based on your attitude about veterinary care, convenience ( so you will not hesitate to go there ), price, their experience with your breed of choice and personal rapport. Save veterinary ER visits for true emergencies.

Microfibre cloths are some the best, most inexpensive grooming tools for dogs. You can use a dry one as a brush, a wet one as a pet wipe, and one moistened with baking soda or pet toothpaste as a toothbrush.

If you do not have a fenced-in yard, do not allowe your canine pal to go outside alone. The dog should be let out on-leash (retractables like Flexis are good in these situations), or chained. Electric fences also work, though they will not keep predators out, therefore endangering your pet's life. If possible, dog runs are excellent. -gaddylovesdogs
