Nothing to do with dogs...video game question
I've always been interested in the Final Fantasy games, so now I'm acutally going to buy one! lol I want to get Final Fantasy VII and work my way up from there, but IDK anything about the games, so *shrugs* .
Anyways, I was just wondering if anybody knew of where I could get one? I know I could get one off of ebay, but that doesn't exactly thrill me or my parents. I just don't trust people I don't know, especially when it involves my credit card. Go figure. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a reputable place to purchase a video game? And if ebay is my only option, what would be the best way to sort out the real deal? I have a friend who works at Game Exchange, so I might talk to him about it, but I also thought I'd ask you guys! |

My brother loves to play Final Fantasy. He used to play it on a video game console, and now he plays on his computer online.
Do you have an Electronic Boutique (EB Games) in your area? That is another really good place, and you can also buy used video games/game consoles. Wal-Mart also sells video games, but it is much more limited than places like Best Buy, EB, etc. Lots of places to chose from! |

I haven't really played any of the Final Fantasy series, but I think stores that offer game trades and carry a wide range games would be your best bet. If you have some games that you no longer play, you may even get credit and have the price reduced.

My friend works at a Game Exchange and all kinds of games come and go from there. I'll talk to Clint about it Monday.
But the game I want isn't being made anymore (I do believe. I was looking at it at an online store and it said for availibility "discontinued"), so I'm going to have to buy it used. The only games of the series that I've actually seen are Final Fantasy X and up. I may also go into Circut City or Best Buy or something and ask one of the dudes in there if they know where I can get one. I'll look into the EB Games place. Even if they don't carry what I want right now, it's always nice to find a new store that sells video games! lol ![]() |

Ebay is pretty safe if you do it intelligently. I will only purchase from someone that has a very high approval rating, (Over 99%) and they must have quite a few sales under their belt.
A lot of stores now use ebay to sell their inventory, so it is not too risky. |

I saw this game for sale in IL. I'm interested, but I've never bought anything over ebay before, lol, so I don't really know what I'm doing...how do I say I'm interested in purchasing it? Do I just say what price I'm willing to buy it for, or what? Cause it is a bidding item...hmm....I know, I'm a total dolt.

I'm pretty sure you have to place what you are willing to bid down at the bottom... er wherever it is. My brother used to buy things off of Ebay, BUT if it's a really popular item, sometimes people will keep bidding on top of you. What my brother would do was wait until it was like 10 seconds left on the bid. He'd place his, and by the time it loaded and everything, the bidding was finished and he was able to get the last bid in. LOL

Get Final Fantasy X! It's an awesome game!!! You can get a new one for about $20 at Best Buy. I can't tell you how many hours of my life I've spent on that game. I'm supposed to be grown up and responsible, but I absolutely love that game. I just got FFX-2, the sequel to FFX, and I'm slowly working my way through that. The fight sequences are different from FFX, but it's not so bad.
Except for FFX and FFX-2, none of the games are actually sequels or depend on each other for story lines, so you don't have to go in order. I'm taking a break from FFX-2 to play Guitar Hero, and let me tell you, THAT's a game that will suck the hours from your day. ![]() |

I _loved_ Final Fantasy VII and would recommend it! Check with EBGames (http://www.ebgames.com/)
Checking there, I was able to find this: http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=933185 Hope this helps. |

That is the type of auction I would bid on.
Now there is a certain strategy to E-bay bidding. You can bid now and watch it go up in price, or you can wait until the last minute and throw in a bid and hope you get it, usually saving you a bunch of money. This is what Jill and myself do, and we usually get things for much cheaper then if we just bid throughout the time span. |

Thanks all for the info! The end of the bidding isn't till the twenty ninth I do believe, so now I'm just wrestling with myself over whether or not I want to spend probably less and wait for it for at least another week or so, or spend a bit more and get it in a couple of days. lol *sigh* I'm fed up with waiting for stuff though...had to wait a week to get my new hair straitener and I'm waiting a week and a half for a new Guniea Pig cage...I'm waiting, but instead of paying 110$ I'm getting it for a big discount...nice cage though.
And wait, call me stupid, but what does back ordered mean? I'm so illiterate it isn't even funny. ![]() |

Backordered means that so many people have ordered it, that they don't have enough to sell right away. I guess you could say it's like a waiting list. Usually really popular items end up being backordered.
Just remember though... good things come to those who wait! ![]() |

"Good things come to those who wait"...and that is the truth, but patience has never been my strong suit.
That is what I thought backordered ment, but I wasn't 100% sure. So I guess I'm just going to wait and see then. I'm going to have an email sent to me whenever it comes back in stock, so I guess we'll have to see which happens first! |
