Bush has nothing to do with the price of petroleum. Neither Bush nor the military want to start the draft. That's just another Democratic lie trying to scare the young people into voting for Kerry, but it didn't work because they saw through it. He did not oppose same sex unions just calling it a marriage which it is not, Kerry agreed with him, and so do the eleven states who had it on their ballot yesterday. They all voted it down 2 or 3 to 1. Look on the internet for election results and you'll see it. Rowe vs. Wade is a bad decision and should be reversed, but Bush has said nothing about it.Abortion is not mentioned in the Constitution as this decision says. This a matter for the legislature not the courts The president doesn't just order these things to happen, they are legislated. Chaney has no intention of running for President.

Exactly. Maybe some will disagree with me but I don't see why the government has to be involved in every single aspect of our lives. Women's rights are going to continue to go downhill for four more years, it seems.

At any rate... can someone help inspire me to try to like President Bush. I'm looking for people to post some positive things that Bush has put into effect and stuck with. Some positive things.

One word...well, three words - Reduced Inheritance Tax

Let supporters of terrorists know that America doesn't lie down on it's back and do nothing. Sure, people die in wars. What's new about that? It's sad, yes. Of course it is. Nobody likes war. History is full of wars. What's not sad and horrific about 911...or have some people already forgotten?

i havent forgotten - i was intimately affected by it. and i wanted revenge just as much as anyone. im from that area. those people were my family, friends, you name it. my grandfather is an ex-fire chief, my father an ex-firefighter. im first generation on my dads side, and believe me, we appreciate what america has offered us, as my family was refugees from concentration camps.

but this election for me was more than just the "war on terrorism". my best friend posed this question: has the US managed to bring peace and democracy to any state we have invaded in the past 50 years?

this is the war in our homeland. we fight to give rights to islamic women - the rights that they are trying to take away from us. we are hypocrites.

Why did our government refuse, earlier this month, to sign with 250+ other nations,
the UN's plan for women's rights?

The Inheritence Tax is actually responsible for a lot of the social programs and for non-profit organizations that help our society everyday. In the 1800's railroad moguls were extrememly rich and the money stayed in the family. Some are even credited with buying the election (I forget what year) I think it was Cleveland, but not sure so don't quote me. That year I think they gave, oddly enough it was ohio, like 80 million dollars before the election to help influence that states vote. There were other families like that, that were getting far too powerful so they passed the inheritence tax, I don't really think we need to go back to where it was 100 years ago. If you've been a good parent you're kids have a head start, you can do good things with your money while your alive, so that it doesn't get taxed so much, and nobody else gets free money here so I guess I don't really expect too.

Bush isn't my fav. kind of guy but I like him more than I liked Kerry. I was watching one of the Presidential Debates and Kerry just seemed.... I don't know...... sneaky, I guess..... I can't describe it, but there was something I just didn't like about him.....
One of the questions they asked during the debate was something like this: "Will my tax money be going to support abortion?"
Bush answerd with a strait, "No."
Kerry evaded the question by asking another one. (A Red Herring is what that is called in a Logic book I'm reading.)
Also, when my mom said that Bush had won, she also said, "Kerry's pouting." I said, "Yeh, you can tell a great deal about a person depending on how they take it when they lose."
I'm happy that Bush one and not Kerry but I don't really care for Bush either...
