Need for Speed "Driving" me INSANE!!!

OMG, I am getting so frustrated. I recently picked up the Need For Speed Underground for PS2. I whizzed through all the levels, then got to the one where you have to do a circuit to get your #4 ranking. It's driving me INSANE!! Every time I get to the bridge on the last lap of 4, a big old cube truck jumps out at me, not matter which way I go! This spins me out and 2 other cars pass me. I keep getting within 1 second of winning after my catch-up, but never seem to be able to get any better than that. And this is on EASY!
Anyone else ever played it? Had the same problem? I wanna get past this so I can do a different race. I'm getting so sick of doing this one, and can't open anything else until I beat it. GGRRRRRR!!!
Aren't video games supposed to be fun? It's really P*$*$* me off!! HAHAHA. I can understand maybe having to give it 5-10 tries to get though, but I must have played this level like 100 times by now. Should I just give it up? LOL

We have that game on GameCube, but I try to avoid the room where my boys play (all my boys - including my husband). I'll try to get him to come here and give some hints.

Woohoo, go figure, after all that, my first time trying again after the post I finally did it! The frustration just crumbled away...hehe. I still hit that cube truck, but so did the other cars, so I just nitro'd my way to the end....HAHAHA!

Sometimes it just takes a break away from the game in order to be able to beat it. I've found that out while playing FFX.

^^ I love the FF series. I'm going to be picking up XII this weekend. I've been so out of the loop, I didn't even know it was being released!

I was like that with Kingdom Hearts (the first and second ones) There was this one fight and I just couldn't get past it. So I'd go and level up some more, and try again, get smoked and repeat the process until I finally did it.

Made me almost want to pull my hair out in frustration lol

Hahaha!! I hear ya.....I got past that one crazy level, and about 4 more, then BAM!! Another one giving me a hard time. Sure does make you want to pull your hair out!
